Indeed. And that's where the pressure is on Nintendo. They need to get people interested in their console. The whole concept should bring people in and the 'core' games should get the core gamers in. I'm not sure how Nintendo can lure them. Maybe pay Rockstar a billion dollars for an exclusive GTA V? Sounds extreme but I think extreme measures are needed for it to happen.

I think Nintendo has a hit on their hards for the casual market already though, I base that on the fact that my mother called the Wii U 'neat'.(So I did my research!)Even when the Wii is under a coat of dust the last years.

In my opinion Nintendo's marketing isn't that great. They want the 'core' gamer back with the WiiU.

SuperFlakeman

That's for the third parties to handle.

For better or worse.

I disagree. After the Wii it's Nintendo's job to win back the core consumers.

In my opinion Nintendo's marketing isn't that great. They want the 'core' gamer back with the WiiU. The name is horrible for that purpose. And thise E3 already generated a 'WIIU IS UNDERPOWERERERERDDD!!!!!' buzz on the web. If they would have flexed their tech muscle like Sony or MS would do then we wouldn't have that rampant **** Also why on earth isn't there a direct feed video of the Zelda techdemo and why isn't the Zelda tech demo shown AT ALL on their official E3 site?

the specs are four cores of 3.5 ghz a hd 4870 in there that's a lot stronger than the x360 and ps3 and they will be able to sell it at the same price. The controller however will be expensive. evildead6789

Is anything of that confirmed?

Could I ask mods why you want all WiiU discussion in one thread? Even the games? Makes it a mess imo.

Anyway check this:

I almost wish Nintendo shared the specs of the console with us.

Most forums are absolutely flooded now with angry nerds calling the WiiU underpowered/worse than 360/BAD GRAFIX. Nintendo just stating the specs would silence all those simpletons. What is up with people like that anyway, absolutely obsessed with graphics? /rant

They showed lots of use of the Wiimote in the conference. So not sure why you are concerned. I assume both will options.

The whole point of WiiU is to cater to both casuals and hardcore.

A giant controller is not an advancement in gaming. I hope MS can get more out of the Kinect and smash Nintendo to pieces.

DeViLzzz

Ok man.

I guess you didn't see the dozen embarassing Kinect demos?

The 'giant' controllers creates so many possibilities, I of course don't know how well it will all work but writing it off already just proves you are a closeminded dudebro.
