I was blown away by the Nintendo conference, but also left wanting more.

Nintendo is so damn innovative and ballsy. They take risks that Sony and MS don't dare dreaming of. This new controller gives so many options for gameplay it's mindboggling. A nice change from the 53970923 shooters with standard gameplay we saw at E3.

The new Zelda looked stunning, goddamnnnnn I want that so bad. But where were the other Nintendo franchises? Why Nintendo WHYYYYY. Can't wait.

It's funny to see the internets now though. So many people crying like manbabies how TEH GRAPHICS. Zelda looked stunning and we have seen nothing yet. It seriously make me facepalm to see about 80% closeminded, nerdraging replies on forums about the WiiU. (looking at you neogaf, check that site now if you want see thousands of basement dwellers raging about TEH GRAPHICS).

Nintendo really has something here, really curious what they will unviel in the near future. What about the online? The Nintendo franchises? Tell us!!

For a couple of reasons:

1. Smartphone/tablet gaming. Parents buy their kids smartphones now with games more than good enough to enjoy for them, at 1/40th of the price per game.

2. Social network gaming, same as smartphone gaming really.

3. People think it's just another version of the DS

4. It's too ugly and low tech to get attention from gadget fans

5. No games

6. PS Vita is coming, which does about everything right what the 3DS does wrong. But even then the PS Vita will struggle for the same reasons.

7. Price, you don't give your kids a 250 euro/dollar toy that requires 40 euro/dollar games to use.

You can set the time zone. Just hover over your username in the top right hand corner, click on settings, when the pop up menu shows click the forums tab and then at the top you will see an option to set the time zone, click apply changes and you're done.cm1978
Thanks, but that only affects the forums. I'm mainly interested in setting a timezone to affect the calendar.

I don't get this obsession with graphics. In this day and age every game looks at least acceptable. It comes down to GAMEPLAY. Have you ever enjoyed playing a good looking, but boring as hell game? I sure haven't. A game can look out of this world, but if it's not fun to play there is no point.

The other way around though, a fun but bad looking game. No problem! If you grew up with the NES then you would have known that even with pixel graphics you can have a fantastic game experience.

Personally I think both the 3DS and Vita will bomb compared to their predecessors. Simply because of smartphone gaming.

I'm giving the Vita a good chance this time compared to the 3DS though. But only if the price is similar to it. Nintendo made quite a few mistakes with the 3DS, people can't pirate games for the 3DS and now the Vita took a lot of selling points of the 3DS and did them better. Like augmented reality and of course online features. In the end it all comes down to what the parents decide to buy for their kids though, will they go for tech or for the mario's is the main question.

Hi Gamespotters,

It would be fantastic if Gamespot had the option to set your timezone for the website. Everytime something gets posted on Gamespot it's in US time (the world is bigger than the US!) which makes it hard for us non-americans to know when to tune in.

The Calendar for example used to show countdowns, now it shows times. It would be great if those times changed when you set your timezone for example to CET (Europe).

Not a fan of the new look.

But one thing I HATE about it is that news is completely hidden now. I love reading about the latest gaming news, but this got reduced to one line :/ Why?
