[QUOTE="laughingman42"]This should not be used to smear Palin's reputation. This should be used to show how completely ineffective abstinence only education is.hokies1313
It really isn't a reflection on Palin at all. Her daughter's choice, her daughter's problem. Her mom just happens to be a VP candidate.
Seriously, this issue should hardly effect the campaign. It has next to nothing to do with Palin's politics.
Parents are suppossed to have a better grasp on their children. I agree that this isn't Palin's fault but if you don't think it will play a part in voter's mind then you are fooling yourself. How is she suppossed to teach moral values if she can't keep her own children from making these decisions. Childrens actions are USAULLY a reflection of parenting. That is how this will be viewed. Is it right? Probably not but that is how this will be viewed.
[QUOTE="Correyov31"]Just out of curiousity what makes her more experienced than Obama. Is it the fact that she is a governer of a state with one of the smallest populations?

You mean the largest state in the union?
And no.

Read through the whole topic if you'd like. It's executive experience.
It being the largest state in the Union would be in terms of Area. That means nothing if there aren't many people in it. I'm just saying that executive experience would count more if it was in a state with a good amount of people to govern. You forget that most of Alaska's population is concentrated in Jenuea.
[QUOTE="TenP"]John McCain had THREE potential really good candidates: Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty and Joe Lieberman.
All three had more experience and more knowledge on the national stage. Although that's not saying much, Palin has little experience and NO knowledge on the national stage.
While she wasn't on the same level as them, she has a lot of experience. Have you seen her career history?
So what did McCain accomplish by picking her? He showed us that he thinks he can get the butthurt Hillary supporters by merely picking a woman instead of a much better candidate.
I'm sure the Hillary supporters would love a pro-life, pro-gun, pro-death penalty, anti-gay, pro-creationism woman more than alienated social conservatives.
He showed us that he doesn't care if he throws out his number 1 argument, experience. How can McCain accuse Obama of being inexperienced when his number two is just as inexperienced? Fact is, he can't.
Actually, Palin has more experience than Obama.;)
Up until the Bush Administration we all thought that the VP didn't really do much, however Cheney showed us that him and Rove practically ran the operation so we know that the VP has a strong influence on everything the Head Hauncho does. Not only that but at 73 having cancer twice, and still obviously suffering from PTS how can we trust this Plain to lead should the need arise?
If we can trust Obama, we should have no problem with Palin.

[QUOTE="crankypinoy"]There was a girl who went back to her dorm room late one night to retrieve her books before heading over to her boyfriends dorm to spend the night. She entered the room, but knowing her roommate would be sleeping, she didn't turn on the light.
She stumbled around the room in the dark for several minutes, gathering what she would need before finally leaving. The next afternoon, she came back to her room to find it surrounded by police.
When asked if she lived there, she replied with a yes. They took her into the room, and there, written on the wall in blood, were the words, "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?"

Oh, now that's a good one!
Isn't that from the movie "Urban Legend"?
