That depends entirely on the success of Rage. If it sells well then id may well continue with the Rage franchise and put other projects on hold to capitalize on their new successful franchise. So far there has been little to no information on Doom 4. All we know that Doom 4 exists (in some form) and that it uses id Tech 5 engine. Carmack said once Rage launches, he's switching to Doom4... Yup, but if Rage is succesful they will mostly work on Rage 2 and Doom 4 at the same time. Hires at id inc.
Sales will probably be sub par, especially with the PC version having technical issues. sequel is unlikely.gamebreakerz__
I think the pc problems , which by the way are gonna be fix soon, are doing the opposite and increase the sales. Everybody is talking about their rage pc problem which As a consequence more and more peoples heard about the game and want to try it out. So , my belives are rage will sell enough on pc/360/ps3 to justify a sequel...
Hey guys, Im having a blast in Rage on 360. This is the best game ive played this year on 360. I put on shelves GoW3. Ill probably play Rage until Mw3. I did the sp on easy, now im doing it on normal and so on. Gameplay and gfx are outstanding. Only downside is the textures pop-in that may be fix in a update. Anyway, I cant wait for Rage 2 to be announced and I hope the game sell well on 360/ps3/pc. I cant put the game down!!!! Whos , iike me, waiting for Rage 2 announcement ? Helll yeahhh !
Sorry guys not sure I heard you right , Cant be fixed cause console limitation? First, pop-in textures is out of control, even with full install. Second, all textures and I mean ALL textures seems low resolution, specially when you come close or zoom it. Doom 3 on xbox 1 has higher texture resolution than rage. Lets face it , rage is a outrageous failed graphicly. But i love the gameplay. Anyway, im not asking for higher texture , but they could with a downloadable patch . Im just asking for a pop-in fix. For the rest I can deal with it.
