I think thats their intention, and they succeeded :-). He is supposed to be a very gritty character, not your normal well mannered guy however still a leader with a full sense of honor and doing what's right.

The person who voices him is the guy who plays Merle on The Walking Dead'. He plays this type of character well which is why they probably casted him. Not just in this show, but most of his movies he seems to play this type of person.

Yep! This game has awful lag. 75% of the time it has the most serious lag compensation of any past game. Its ridiculous to know they coded it that way intentionally to counter-act the host advantage issue. May sound good on paper, but all it does is create a fake experience for all. Why force this type of netcode on people? BO multiplayer was the worst of any CoD, but it was also because of the many issues besides the lag.

This game fixed all those problems, however it would be perfect if not for the horrible lag compensation. No matter what you do, you can't fight the coding of the game. I found a fix that definitely helped a bit, but you can never stop it until THEY do.

Oh, and selecting best is a joke and does absolutley nothing.

Regardless, SMG's benefit the most from the aim assist in this game. With the high rate of fire, you just have to remotely aim towards the person and it kills more often than not. Even if you miss some shots, it spits out enough bullets to make up for it.

I bet if he played the game with the new patch he would have given it a 9. Apparently there were enough bugs and glitches to cause disgruntlement and he even stated it in the bad section so apparently it was a factor. However the patch fixed a ton of stuff and whatever serious problems.

My guess is yes, they will have an online pass for ONE person only for all online content. Ubisoft has adopted this method like EA and so far Revelations had it and Ghost Recon Future Soldier had it.

or do a search and you can find info on it anywhere. I feel as if the scores are slightly lower because of them, however the patch fixes a TON of things. I wonder if they will revisit some reviews because of this. Thoughts from anyone playing the game currently?

I couldn't be more in the same boat with you. I played this game 5 hours a day since day 1, and now suddenly I havn't played in like 3 weeks. I think 1.2 was so good to me that I feel like I waste all my fun on the game PRE 1.2. I was a big PVPer, and 1.2 made everything so much better yet still... thats when it went downhill for me. I was one of the biggest fighters against the people saying "they should have had it at launch"... but now, although I kinda still stand by the defense that its better late than never, I really feel like I missed out not having those features at launch. I mean I had so much fun playing the game up until 1.2, but the change was WAY too drastic to the point where you REALLY WISH you could have enjoyed all that from the start. The group finder, understandably, has to lag far behind that huge update, but honestly not having it this long has hurt the game more than it will help whenever the hell it finaly DOES come. It's just a domino effect... I love the game but can't bring myself to log on anymore. I have other reasons but they aren't important.

I've seen this trend a lot among people who don't understand how MMO releases work. SWTOR isn't flopping. You'd have to be willfully ignorant of market trends to say this game is flopping.

Here are some facts:

1. SWTOR had the largest western release of any MMO in the history of the industry.

2. SWTOR is currently the 3rd largest MMO in the world only about a million subs behind Aion and SWTOR does not have an international release yet.

3. SWTOR currently has 1.3m subs as of the recent investor's call which humiliates FFXI, Everquest, DAoC, and LotRO at their absolute best, Everquest being the largest of these capping at around 550k subs. 1.3m vs. 550k.

4. BW developers have been saying since early Dec. that SWTOR only needs 500k subs to remain profitable. They currently have almost 3x that many.

5. All MMO's since WoW experience a population crash within the first 6 months. While the box-sales of SWTOR were impressive, the Feb. investor's call stated 1.7m subs "the majority have rolled over into their recurring subscription cycle". Generous analysts have stated this meant they had about 1m recurring subs which is significantly more than a mere "majority". This means that since the Feb. investor's call SWTOR went from 1m -> 1.3m recurring subs. In other words their actual subscriber base is growing. Box sales have never, nor will ever be a barometer for subscription loss for MMOs. This is only the case when people who don't regularly play MMOs try to be an analyst in the industry.

So no, SWTOR isn't flopping. It may not have suited your fancy, and you might be one of those sad pathetic people praying for other people's failures for no discernable reason other than you're a terrible person, but if you say SWTOR is flopping, you'd be factually incorrect. EA's stock prices are a direct result of numerous things SWTOR being barely a footnote in even the most cynical analyst's bag first and foremost being Battlefield 3 underperforming, a CFO leaving the company and EA being voted worst company in America. To be honest you gamers should be nothing short of ashamed of yourselves for this because companies like Apple who take advantage of third world slave labor for their hardware, or Bank of America who helped crash the world's economy lost out to a video game company because the whiners on the internet didn't get the endings they wanted so now EA gets the limelight while companies who literally own slaves get to keep laughing all the way to the bank.

Best post in awhile... seriously. EA is a tyrant and they are just getting their well deserved "just desserts."
