Something that really needs to be sorted out with all consoles is the lack of RAM. The PC I built 4 YEARS ago had 1 gig of RAM and a 128mb gfx card. The 360 only has a half gig of ram to share between the CPU and gfx.... why? All this does is severely limit developers. If the box had double the ram we would have seen bigger multiplayer maps, more people in the same game and so on.

To answer :) - Xbox 720......

1> 512mb Dedicated ram for the graphics chipset, and 4 or more gigs of ram for the motherboard. (or more, we are talking anotother 3-4 years at least)

2> 250gb HDD on at least the most basic model - Noneof this "games have to be developed with the core unit in mind" crap that also holds back devs. Better models up to 500gb/ 1tb.

3> YES keyboard and mouse support. Stop whining that we don't need it. RTS, FPS, and MMO's would all definitely see a benefit and no-one can argue otherwise.

In short - Gimme a machine than costs 1/5th of a gaming PC and still plays Warhammer Online :D Oh yes :)

For the extra bucks, its really worth going Pro. Even if you never download anything, some games are optimised for hard drive and run a bit smoother.

From what I've read, the 360 version is a bit more stable. PS3 is still having some headset problems.

Forza 2 in the lobby asking the British if they brush there teeth.Travis350z28

Yup I was in a Halo 3 game ages ago and some american guy wouldn't just.... shut.... up making stupid noises. I asked him how many big macs he'd had for breakfast and if the suspension on his pick up truck was industrial strength. He didn't like that.

The only way to do it would be with a software adaptor. There used to be one for PS2 controllers, so I wouldn't rule out one for xbox pads too. Have a google m8 and see what turns up.

Its not a problem m8. the motherboard is placed down the left side of the unit (standing up) and is generating heat, while the drive is on the right, with some unused space inside the unit. I'd guess the airflow is simply better down the right hand side.

You won't know if its overheating unless you sit there with one hand on the box all day long. If it does overheat you should see some symptoms like stuttering/freezing/graphical glitches and such before it does pack in. Also if its gonna overheat, its gonna overheat :) nothing you can do about it other than take it back to the store if it does go bang :)

Well i never got Freezes and crap but i do have a Fan (not intercooler) to cool it down. What the heck is Graphical glitches

No freezes and crap - well you got nothing to worry about then. Graphical glitches are Graphics but Wrong.

Thank you so much for a specific comment so i don't need to worry about it since it barely Freezes (sometimes it does) but anyway thank you so much dude that sometime we could play Xbox live.

No worries bud :) you never mentioned if you have the old white xbox or the newer black elite xbox - the newer ones are supposedly a lot more stable - I'll be trading in for one early next year.

Short answers:

360 Elite has a 120gb HD, HDMI and a low failure rate. It's just had a price drop in the U.S.A I think.

XBL has 2 accounts types - silver (free) and gold (costs about the same as one full price game per year). Both pretty much the same, except gold lets you download brand new stuff on the MP that may be restricted for a short time, and will allow you to play online games, Silver doesn't.

You will need a seperate WiFi adaptor. The official xbox one is a bit expensive, but I hear you can use *some* standard Pc ones - read up on this.

For games check the game recommendation thread at the top of this board.
