I think consoles had a glitch with the EOD Bot or something and people have 3000m+ head shots (which is an insane lie on a console). Not sure if that happened on PC, as well. I believe my longest head shot was 2200 or 2300m on Bandar Desert. Buddy and I were just messing around because nobody was playing the objective (what else is new). I deleted the game and my Battlelog account, but it might be elsewhere online if you guys want some proof. If I can't find any I'll just say this: BF2 got me into modern video games and hooked me immediately with bullet drop. I was a damn good sniper then and only a slightly worse one now, but it's unfortunately it was one of many things BF3 completely messed up :/

EA: "I know! We'll just give money to charity to make it /seem/ like we're OK, but in reality we'll just continue screwing over gamers!" EA needs to learn to stop pushing the same handful of games on everybody, as well. I got Crysis 2: Maximum Edition on Steam for free, but it was mediocre and buggy as all hell. BF3 was pretty bad, too, unless you're new to the franchise.

[QUOTE="nutcrackr"]Dead Space 1 is known to have kinda flaky controls on PC. The sequels are much better. I used mouse for all and didn't have major issues. I wasn't really aware steam accounts had to be checked by hand, guess they need to stop spam accounts or bot accounts. Take a week or two I guess? Watch Dogs is very much coming to PC, demonstrated on PC first up. Division is likely coming to PC too since Ubisoft have been very pro-PC in the last few years.

Yea, it's not looking good on this controller so I'll just man up and stick to the mouse/keyboard. Scariest part is hearing something behind me and having to scroll a good 3-4 times to do a 180 xD And yes, I acknowledged that Watch Dogs will be on PC as it's the main platform. The Division, however, apparently needed a petition (which, thankfully, Ubisoft is taking into/has took into account) and it's rocking a solid 139,000 signatures! :D I'm just baffled on why they didn't make PC the main platform right off the bat; it's an MMO/RPG-type game and those thrive on the PC.

add me we can talk n play n stuff (see sig)

No offense, but I don't usually add people on Steam or (now) Origin. Sowwy :( I never really had friends who had a PC AND the games I played so 'multiplayer' always meant 'going over to someone's house and playing.' BF2 was the only game I talked to people in (short commands) and nowadays the video games I play are more of a 'me' thing (e.g. campaigns/single player). I was never comfortable talking on a mic, anyway xD As for the recommendations, Saints Row looks too similar to GTA and I never caught on. Not to mention the (likely huge) map size for both games. Fallout 3 is probably a lot more immersive than those two games, but I could easily spend 300+ hours in the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 with it's gigantic map. I'm also a so-called 'completionist' so that factors into it, as well. I need games like the Mass Effect series that only took ~80 hours each to fully complete. Assassin's Creed seemed OK, if not a bit repetitive. I'd rather just look up a summary of those games (the 'reality' portion, anyway). As for the Dragon Age series, I already have Mass Effect (both from BioWare, obviously). I feel like that would be similar to my Bethesda stint: a friend showed me Fallout 3 first and then Oblivion and I just couldn't get into it. I will always choose a dystopian future or science fiction over "Lord Of The Rings"-esque gameplay. I will, however, check out Dark Souls (been hearing about it nonstop - thanks for the tips, as well) and Darksiders. My PS3 friend has Dishonored and that looked decent so I could bug him about that. As for Torchlight 2, I'm not sure how I feel about point-and-click games (dungeon crawlers, RPGs, hack-and-slash, or whatever they're called). In truth, I have yet to play Diablo 2 because I heard they took a different direction from the first game (which will forever be the best point-and-click, in my opinion). You can't edit your posts with italics, bold, etc? Meh... Anyway, thanks a ton for the help, thus far!

Oh, herro ^_^ I would say that the only reason I registered is because Steam accounts need to be checked by hand and I can't use their forum (it's been a week...), but this also seemed like a top-notch gaming forum so I said "Why not register?" :D 1) For those that have played Dead Space, did you prefer a mouse/keyboard or a controller? I played through the first time with a mouse/keyboard, but it was kind of bad. Just tried starting over with a knockoff 360 controller and it's still bad. Some of the worst controls I've ever seen :/ 2) Does anyone know how long Steam takes with this confirmation business? Sorry to use GameSpot, but I'd be ecstatic if I could use both forums. My (extremely short) gaming history: 1) Just beat the Half-Life series for the first time (will be buying Portal and Portal 2 shortly) and am currently replaying Dead Space as a refresher before my first Dead Space 2 playthrough. 2) Will play Fallout 3 GOTY next, never having beaten it all the way, and then will have another go with the Mass Effect franchise - played it for the first time earlier this year and it immediately jumped to my favorite franchise of all time. 3) Played Battlefield 2 for a few years, but after the massive disappointment that was BF3 (and a laundry list of other corporate bull) I'm done with EA games and am getting close to being done with multiplayer games, in general. 4) Haven't played either in quite some time, but Far Cry 2 was amazing, but Crysis 2 was buggier than all hell and had a sub-par storyline. 5) Spec Ops: The Line needs to be played by everybody who loves FPSs because it WILL make you think. 6) I would love to play The Last Of Us, Beyond Two Souls, and the Resistance series on the PS3. Unfortunately, that will probably never happen :( 7) Only games I'm looking forward to are The Division (which apparently Ubisoft hasn't made on PC yet) and Watch Dogs (but Ubisoft made PC the main platform for this?). 8) I actually really want to try EVE Online (what kind of game gets its own economist!?!), but it sounds dangerous/addicting O_O Sorry for the wall of text, but I'm more than willing to hear game recommendations. Thanks in advance, all!
