Alright , I'm going to use my warranty , and give back my 1950XT. Is there anything equal to 1950XT , from nVidia series?
Crembo's forum posts
This is impossible , the shop I bought from changed my motherboard , ram AND HDD just like few months ago. And by the way , the problem with the 7600GT didn't happen before I putted in the 1950XT. I mean ,everything was OK before the new GPU.
And I don't think it's overheating , the CPU is at 37 degrees at idle.
F**k that =_="
Well, since your other card did this as well, I would go ahead and reformat windows. It is not related to your gpu if the other card did this, if it still persists to do this, I would suspect something wrong with your motherboard or power supply.
Also if people are still stuck about overheating go ahead, and run without a case, and put use the stock cooler if you have an aftermarket heatsink.
MondoCool
Well , it did , but it came back in alot faster , and the pc didn't became stuck - it just had a smalldown and returned to normal after few seconds.
Jesus. I dunno what to do?
1.Call the technician.
2.Replace the card itself.
3.Format windows.
I don't think I have any other options.
By the way , there's a weird thing :
When I run the game , the first few minutes the GPU is extremely hot , than it becomes cooler and then the fps falls (AGAIN around 5~).
Another thing I forgot to say , that with the stock cooling , the PC won't crash , but it had fps slowdowns , but they were abit more rare... Maybe I installed the cooler badly?
@04dcarraher - VRM = the place where the PCI E power supply connecter is.
@kodex1717 - Well , my technician said it still has warranty.
Well , i'm going to call my technician to come to my house and see the problem itself... If you have any other solutions , please say.
@kodex1717 - I tried alt -tab , it didn't help. And the power supply cable is directly from the PSU itself.
But the way , I've noticed that at tense battle , when the fps falls , the GPU VRM (the power connecter) heats upto 90 degrees , though the GPU core itself is at around 70 degrees.
@04dcarraher - look , i'm not stupid , I understand in hardware , and I want to learn more. Though you're not helping me.
Idle is: 48 C for the core. 43 C for ambient. 65 C for VRM.
In Lost Planet it's 70 for core , and around 90 for VRM. I didn't cheack ambient.
Is it any clearer now?
@04dcarraher - I can assure you that it's 578945327895348958394% that it's NOT overheating . Why? Cos I bought my Zalman Fatal1ty cooler , and it takes off 20 degrees while playing and 15 @ idle.
@kodex1717 - I'm going to try that.
Wait , so how many games use OpenGL? Lost Planet uses OpenGL?
I don't get it , my technician is 200% sure that IT IS NOT the PSU. He says it's either the card itself , or the drivers are messed up... Well , I'm going to try now 6.1 CCC and I'll report back.
