Actually although I love the format and execution of GT's reviews they generally are hard to predict and don't feel very objective. When they want to hate on a game they will bash the living crap out of it to a point where it feels like net picking. On the other hand when they like a game all you'll hear is generic praise with not a single objective comment. Personally I've started to think of reviews as guidelines for what to expect and opinions and that has worked out fine for me!

I'm dumfounded by all the reviews I've read so far about the game! Even those who scored the game higher than 8 seem to be complaining about the points that all the old school Sonic fans were begging to have! Also it seems like these people have never played a 2D Sonic game in their life! They find this game frustrating? by what standard exactly? My only complain about the game was that it was TOO EASY!

I feel like reviewers are complaining about everything! The game is too easy or too hard. The game is too long or too short. there is no online multiplayer or the online multiplayer feels unnecessary!

To me critics don't mean anything but an opinion these days, you really can't take their word for anything!

It's finally here a teaser and the announcement for SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 4 I have tears in my eyes!!! FINALLY SONIC IS BACK!!!

A portion of a GameSpot interview with Sega associate brand manager Ken Balough...

GS: Will there be any differences between the different versions? That is, will the Wii have motion control, or will the PS3 and 360 run at 1080p?

KB: For all intents and purposes, the games are designed to be identical. There are a few differences per what each console can output visually: Wii will be at 480p, while the XBLA and PSN versions will run at 1080p. However, for certain areas of the game, the Wii will be able to use motion control, and the PS3 will be able to use the Sixaxis.

Rejoice Wii owners, you didn't not get left out in the cold. Sega wasn't stupid after all.

More details:

-this game is downloadable

-this game is 2D with 3D elements

-Sonic can do a homing attack

-there will be leaderboards

-this game will be the start of a series of Episodic games

-this game will available on all consoles including Wiiware

-it comes out this summer

Plus, there's a website:

I'm an enthusiastic Sonic collector but I draw the line at Vtech and its type of machines. No matter how strong my stomach is I would never be able to go through :P

This is looking pretty good from that video! I really hope Sega pulls it off and this doesn't end up becoming another "Sonic Shuffle" to Nintendo's "Mario Party"

Glad they decided not to keep it a download for the PS3! I love having a physical medium to hold my game! We'll see when the game is released if its worth it!

I wonder if you play as Big The Cat do you just drive around looking for a pond to fish?
