I know that. My post was done out of a joke to basically do what those people do. It really is our fault to an extent that Sonic games are crap but we don't make them. The fact that the games continue to sell is most likely the only thing we can blame. But what of Sega's other franchises and IPs? How are they higher quality and flops when crappy Sonic titles sell? That's a tough thing for me to see.

Who blames Mario for Sonic's failure? How do you blame another franchise for the failure of one? Jason Griffith isn't that bad a voice actor anymore. I'll admit I hated him back in 05 and 06, but Unleashed and the Rush titles (even though there isn't much voice there) have shown me he can be okay.

And 4Kids is just evil. they have nothing to do with the games. But I do have to admit those same kids watching Sonic X will buy the next crap Sonic game. And that means 4Kids is, to an extent, responsible. But only by association. They did nothing directly to cause the Sonic titles to be crap.

In essence everything leads back to the immature half of the fanbase that wants every new Sonic game. If you want the next game that bad, get it used. Get it at a discount. DO NOT PAY IN FULL FOR IT. It's only killing Sonic in the end, and it's sad that fans are are responsible.

I'm sorry but why are we the fans to blame that Sega is not making a decent Sonic title?? Is it our fault that Sega does not listen to neither the critics nor the fans when they make a game??

Is it our fault that Sonic Team seems incapable of making a decent game, Sonic or otherwise, without somehow ruining it with a cheap gimmick?

Is it our fault that the internet is home to the biggest gathering of freaks and weirdos who have not been given a proper education on how to think yet given the freedom to express their weirdness openly???

We are the victim here why are we being prosecuted??

Isn't this a bit off topic for a Sonic union?

Anyway, I don't think any of the 3D mascots have been fairing well these days save for a chosen few. Crash's games are unplayable, Banjo-Kazooie are no where close to their former glory, Gex no longer exists, etc..

The only games that seem to be worth anything are Klonoa, Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank. 

Actually Metal Sonic appears in Rivals 2 as Shadow's Rival (kind of makes sense now that you think of it) Espio has a few decent stories especially in the Sonic X comics by Archie (actually all of the Chaotix do) I think they should give the story writing of Sonic games stories to the guys from archie! At least they do a decent job of linking most story lines together!

In fact, no one gave Knuckles the attention he deserves as much as Archie, they actually gave him his own series and an excellent background story!

3-Shadow (yes I'm old school but I like him)

4-Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik

5-Tails

6-Amy Rose (especially the Japanese Sonic X Amy :P She reminds me of my gf)

Let's not get this into a VCD/DVD war: it's how the Dreamcast ended. Very Very nice video! Thanks for the link! In the end this proves many of the points I made, Sega brought onto themselves and they abndoned the console a little too early.

I love the what the guy said comparing the DC to the great high school girlfriend in comparison to today's consoles missing that flair! It sums up how I feel exactly which is why I went out and bought a DC a couple of months ago when mine short circuited :)

I didn't want to comment on the game before finishing it but most of what you said is how I generally feel about the game. While I can't say I'm disappointed the cheap deaths and trial and error become irritating at certain points!

I remember dying more than the acceptable amount of times in more than one level! I especially loath Night Carnival! The bonus rounds are pretty good but to actually go through the later stages you have to start memorizing the patterns which I disliked! But in my opinion the biggest flaw in the game has to be that when Sonic jumps on an enemy he opens from the curl after hitting it and if any other enemies were next to it you were hit for sure! I found that Sonic was opening from the curl at too many bad times! I found myself refrraining from attacking with the jump and using the rush attack more! 

I really wanted this game to be perfect but it has its flaws. I will finish it and get Rush Adventure in hopes that the minor flaws were fixed in it.
