@anonymouszomby I remember the days where I would have to dig through an instruction manual and find the fifth word of the seventh paragraph on page 109 to prove that bought the game. Also, the disks came with copy-protection (that was easy to circumvent). Barriers have always existed with PC games.
As for modding games, I've modded plenty of Steam games
@anonymouszomby I dislike DRM as much as the next guy, but Steam's DRM isn't particularly intrusive. Most people are fine with it. I can back up my games if I choose, or install them on my home and work PCs. As for being the most expensive service, I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. They're celebrated for their seasonal sales. AFAIK, their release-day prices are the same as every other digital service.
@anonymouszomby If you're the guy that said Valve killed PC gaming, then yes, that wasn't a particularly insightful or informed comment. By offering a marketplace, a library, a standardized API, and community-driven content, Valve has single-handedly reinvigorated a market that was slowly dying in favor of consoles.
@Sigleaf Congrats on turning a complete non-political and benign article into your own political wankfest. I look forward to seeing more of your edgy contortionist act on next season's America's Got Talent.
The appeal, to me at least, of Eternal Darkness was its Lovecraftian inspiration. It was just dripping with the tone and themes of H.P. Lovecraft's stories. Nothing in this teaser suggests a return to that. Dyack aside, this is enough to make this title forgettable.
