@freedom01 Yea but the 3DS only started doing well after a price-drop, which I think is exactly what the Wii U needs. I won't pay a penny more for a Wii U until its under $200, cuz personally thats what I think its worth
I'll say the only difference between E3 and things like Nintendo Directs is just the audience. Nintendo Directs are meant to be aimed toward the gamers, while E3 is for the gamers, and EVERYONE else. You can tell when a guy is on stage talking, that he knows he's not just talking to the people that play the games, but every other person in the world thats involved. Of course E3 is a spectacle, because it has to be. You know who cares about new Nintendo Directs? Die-hard Nintendo fans. But that's all. I watch E3 every year, and I watch all the conferences, but have I seen a single Direct video? Well yea I watched one cuz my brother wanted me to. But the point is E3 has to pull in more people then just those die-hard fans
