Loved Skyrim. But now that it looks like we won't be getting DLC I think it's going in the re-sell pile which will be traded with others for X-COM: Enemy Unknown. I feel a little cheated, but hey it's DLC. I've just dropped about 1000+ hours in to SKyrim over the last year and really don't feel like playing through again for the 4th time with out something alittle new. Sorry Bethesda, but I am contributing to someone not buying your game new. On purpose. "Take that, the system!!!"

Yeah I've bee amazed that you can now "Pre-Order ACIII with 'Season Pass'"for 120$. ONE-HUDRED AND TWENTY!!! It's not even out, and you ca already overpay for stuff! Jst buy the game, wait a year and all the DLC will be on sale.

Wasn't the idea of DLC to be actual add-ons, something unexpected, a way to extend the life. But now DLC is SO standard, it is part of the game to the point where it's simply an excuse to make you think you should pay more because it's "seperate". Then you end up with things like Dragon's Dogaor other where the DLC is actually on disc, so you're paying to unlckstuff you already own, but they tell you that you don't. I know there are othe games that do this, but DD is one I fell for.

We are the consumers, WE ARE THE MARKET. WE can set the standrds. We have the right NOT to buy things.

Do kids even know who Sherlock is? Oh wait, there is a new game or two with Sherlock Holms, so yeah... I assume they do.

We're gamers, we want GOOD GAMES, the franchise will come from a good game. We buy games that we want to play; we don't buy franchises because you make money off of them. We're not here to buy the new iteration of an old game, we are here to play things that are enjoyable. But we end up buying the new iteration because often that is all that's offered. May I suggest working on quality and not quantity. We become loyal to great games and will ask for more if it seems worth it. And the truth is, many of us are smart enough to know most of it is a gimic.

I just recently picked up the "Premium" Edition of BF3. Why? Because it allows access to all DLC plus a few extras for the same price as buying the original version when it first came out. The game is fun, and to be honest, waiting so long to get into it, I am lacking in skill compared to people that have been playing for the last year. But then I think of the other 60$or more on dlc I am NOT spending to play all the new maps and I feel okay about having to catch up a little on my virtual battling. I knew, like all major titles, if you just wait you get your copy a little later, you'll get all the DLC and whatever "pre-order/exclusive DLC" at a much reduced price.

WHY?

Because it's a franchise! It's a little about the games, but really it's about how they can make more money. I'm not saying that running servers and a game company doesn't cost money, but force feeding your loyal customers DLC as a gimic to keep people paying is wrong. Felloow games: don't buy into the scam. We are consumers and WE can change the market model. We have the right NOT to buy things.

Trust me "Major Lables/Companies": If you make a GOOD game we WILL buy it. Regardless of the a franchise or not. But we also get tired of being sold the same thing over and over because it's a "Franhcise"

I think for a while... I've been under the impression KickStarter is a website where you go to put up a business proposal of any scale and people or businesses, small investors or large can fund said projects in whatever amount they feel fit in the hopes you'll get enough to create your project. I'm sure it's more complex then that, but you get the idea?

yeah KickStarter! Lets fund the games we want! I think we're all tired of the cookie-cutter approach to game play repeats. Don't try to sell your ideas to big companies that want to just make profit, sell your ideas to US: THE GAMERS, the end users!
