Actually the comments of RAID helped me out as I didnt know what it even was at the time. When I format my HDD will I have the option of what RAID setting to set it to? I decided to go with a SeaGate 1TB model, thanks for the help all. :)

Ive read a lot of good reviews from buyers of gskill who are using the same AMD components as I am and the companies reputation is on the rise. I guess what I really want to know is will using cas 7 ram over cas 9 ram really make that much of a difference?

I'm getting that same CPU in a CPU/MOBO combo from NewEgg: HERE

Both are around the same price, plus you save $25 with the combo.

I cant decide between these two sets of GSkill Ripjaws--only difference is their latencies:

FIRST

SECOND

I can get the cas 9 set for $90 and the cas 7 set for $105. Whichever I get I'm getting two sets for 8gigs, should I save the extra $30 by going with the cas 9 or spend it for the cas 7 model?

I'm running an ASUS M4A89TD/ USB3 AM3 mobo and a Phenom II X4 965 cpu.

This is probably a 'noob' question, but what would be the benefits of running 2 hard-drives over 1? I'm debating on getting 2 500GB drives or 1 1TB drive.

After some more research, I think I'm gonna go with the Lexa. :)

I originally was 100% set on getting a Smilodon, but then came across the NZXT Lexa S and love the look of the thing--looks to has good air movement as well. Which one would you get if you were to pick one and why?

Raidmax Smilodon

NZXT Lexa S

Doh, I'm getting an AM3 board anyway so it would be pointless anyway. Thanks for helping break the differences down for me, though. :)

Whats the real difference? I notice that DDR2 RAM has a much low cas latency compared to DDR3, but what more do you get with DDR3? I'm debating on what to get for my gaming rig build and I can get a great price on some DDR2, but would this not be ideal for gaming?

[QUOTE="Cry0Tek"]The 965 is just $20 more though I suppose I could get that extra juice from an OC, but do you think getting it for an extra $20 would be worth it?hartsickdiscipl

No, I don't think an extra $20 for a 965 is worth it. Obviously, opinions will vary on that. I've never heard of a 955 that couldn't achieve a stable 3.4ghz by just changing the multiplier from 16 to 17. Usually voltage changes aren't even necessary to get to that point or beyond. I'm at 3.7ghz 24/7 with only a small voltage increase.

Sounds good, thanks. I plan on getting a Cooler Master Hyper 212+, then I should be set.
