Since digital gaming is now in play now they need a way to check if you sold the game or not or else you will still have the game and simply sell it. Essentially creating two copies of the game for the price of one cutting sells in half for publishers. Aka causing the publishers games that you love so much to go bankrupt.

Hard copy disc are easily vulnerable to cracks, loss, and scratches rendering the game unplayable. This process also makes Backwards compaitbility more accessible without having to specially make hardware in the new system just to play older games. So in 20 years from now with the new xbox and play station going around. And Disc gaming is gone say you want to go back and play halo 5. Well you can because its on your GT and you can simply play it. Try to use a disc instead. You have to find the disc, hope its in good condition and hope that your still have your game system as well.
Xbox is looking at things going towards the future. Im pretty sure Blue Rays are going to be dissapearing soon and will be obsolete probably before the end of this consoles life cycle. Due to all the digital copies and digital moving services.

They are not allowed to talk about it but it was leaked by an anoymous person who confirmed the workplace of one of the microsoft studios. Its possible that if the initial pricing of the game isnt that much that you could see deals for games such as 30-50 dollars. Publishers are pricing games to be sold because they dont see any type of revenue from used games so they price it in high. @TheRaiderNation Ok. What is your solution to stop piracy for digital gaming for consoles then without 24 hour check in to verify if you sold the game or not or if its even a legit copy. Disc gaming probably wont be around for much longer. Its definetly not living past this console generation. If you have internet then you shouldnt worry about it. 24 hour verification? Well if You sold the disc game already you wouldnt be able tp play it. Its all very reasonable. But when Xbox starts getting deals such at 50% off on titles that have only been out for a few weeks. I best people will be singing a different tune. This is the same reaction Xbox 360 got and its pretty cleared who financially won that console war

I would rather have my good/great games but if the system can also run my medium hub and stop me from transitioning channels and plugs and with the seamless transition. Im all down for it. PS4 seems like the standard for what you'd expect for gaming these days. Upgraded graphics and easy to publish for indie devs.(Really it isnt that hard to mimmick on the xbox seeing as it can do a total interface overhaul aka 360) The DRM thing. If microsoft wants to help their position. Make the 10 extra dollars for live worth a little bit more. Since you can hook up your xbox via cell phone. Just have the 10 extra bucks be a dataplan for the xbox(unlimited of course) This will help people who dont have sufficient internet to be able to connect more easily.
@Blalex123 @Madjik2k2 Xbox is a platform. Developers make the games. Microsoft isnt making games except for the Studios. And so far the graphic output looks to be identice. Almost to the point that you probably couldnt even tail the differences. PS4 made a console for strictly gaming. Xbox one made a just as powerful console that can do a shit done of other cool shit. 8 gigs of ram. I dont think any developers has the technologies and tools to create a 8gig console game that would remain in a reasonable price tag at this current time. If they did the game will be extremely linear or the graphics wouldnt be up to par
