I just watched them from IGN. The gameplay looks a little God of War like, but in a way that is absolutely fantastic...http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/773/773516/vids_1.html

I've just got a 360 and after a lot of good advice from fellow Gamespot members I bought Oblivion. It maybe worth pointing out that I'm not a hardcore gamer by any means, and therefore for me Fable rocked - it was easy to get into and all the training / tuturial parts got me right into it. I'm not having the same thing with Oblivion! After only a couple of hours I seem to be totally lost with what to do (for instance I can't even work out how to level up!). I'm also finding it quite difficult to kill people - I'm using a mixture of a flare at range and then using my sword and shield. However as soon as the melee starts I just seem to get whupped!! Considering I opted to be a Nord I was hoping I'd be a bit better at combat!

If anyone else has had a similar 'settling in period' it would be nice to know - as at the moment I'm feeling somewhat lost in the big bad world of Oblivion!!

Also - how in God's name do I level up!:D

Cheers

you level up by fighting running then sleep for the screen to pop up todecide what areas to increaes...it dosnt happen every time you sleep

also

decrease the dificulty level to just below half way therefore the enemies dont need sh** loads of hits to die

and be sure to use the sword with level 10+ for deadly blows

What are the thoughts of old-school NES and SNES fans, regarding the recent revival of Nintendo in the mainstream?

Lilac_Benjie

Confused

the Wii is selling alot but to be honest its not all that....had it on launch then sold it as the games are lame

party games are ok but most of the time gamers will be gaming in thire own...

nintendo is not what ot used to be.....

back in the day (snes) we had donkey kong, doubledragon, street of rage, a bunche of classic mario games, super punch out, flashback, another world, prince of persai etc

i boght it on launch cause of zelda and i had high hopes for controller and first party games

then...

the good games got delayed and the controller wasnt used to its potetial by developers

the graphics didnt bother me but the games did

nintendo is going for the non gamer and forgot about the gamers who cared....the ones that shared thire history

I still see people using that argument. If a good PS3 game is being discussed, someone will invariably jump in and say "good game, but not worth $600."

True.

But here's the thing. No game on the 360 is worth $400. Halo 3 isn't. Gears of War isn't. Mass Effect isn't. Ninja Gaiden 2 isn't. Fable 2 isn't. But those games, combined with the entire library of the 360, are collectively worth $400.

Similarly, MGS4 alone isn't worth $600, nor is FFXIII. But combine those with the likes of FF versus XIII, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, God of War III, Gran Turismo 5, Eight Days, White Knight Story, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and future titles by talented developers such as Team Ico, and you have a compelling reason why $600 is worth it.

Hence, the whole argument of "such-and-such game isn't worth $600" is misleading, outdated, and should be retired along with the dinosaurs.

yeah...... but whats the point on getting  ps3 on launch!!!!!!!
