Mass Effect 1 by a mile. Did ME2 even have a story? Or at least one that made sense? 80%-85% of the game is you recruiting your squad and gaining their loyalty. The whole "Collector" plot looked as if it were added at the last minute

I'd give it about an 8.25/10. While it's the best of the bunch, I was disappointed that it was all action. I would have loved to have seen some undercover/investigation type stuff (like Kasumi) mixed in with the action. And once again, no interaction with other NPCs in your squad (they've dropped the ball on this stuff).

That said, it has some of the funniest moments and lines in the game (as a whole), the banter between Shepard and Liara is great:

Liara: Go go go!

Shepard: I'm going!

--------

Liara: Truck, truck, truck!"

Shepard: Again?

I don't want to spoil anything, but make sure to poke around the base after the last boss battle

EDIT: There are also some fantastic visuals as well

"In Mass Effect 2 we focused on what we love about RPGs: An awesome sense of exploration, intense combat, a deep and non-linear story that's affected by your actions, and rich customization of your armor, weapons and appearance," Hudson explained. "We had an overwhelmingly positive response to this approach, and while we'll make further adjustments to it for Mass Effect 3, we're really happy with how it's been received so far."

Sorry, but that part made me laugh

Not really as I tend to only buy a few games a year. With todays prices I tend to buy games that have a ton replay value. Not gonna waste $60 on something that lasts 8-10 hours (I'm not into multiplayer)

The magazine editor states in his conclusion, that even though he "only" was shown Crysis 2 on an Xbox 360, he thinks that it is going to be one of the best looking games of all time on all platforms.
