I really never hear all that many people cussing in Warhawk, maybe I'm just used to it, so I don't notice it. I just ordered a head set with Warhawk in mind because I'm so tired of being on teams where people don't do what they're supposed to and I'm gonna scold them. So you've got me yelling at people to move out of our own base to look forward to, congrats.

Alchemy is the key, like Crono just said. Pick up every ingredient you can find and make potions with them. You'll be looking for ingredients that have the "Restore Magicka" characteristic. When you make a potion yourself that has restores magicka it will actually be more effective than the potions you buy. For example, the weak potion of magic restores something like 50 magicka points, but even a really low level alchemist can make a potion that restores magicka at a rate of about 7 points per 10 seconds. Once you figure out what ingredients you can use to make those potions, make as many of them as you can, then set the potions to one of the quick use tabs that way you can use them in battle without having to pull them up in a menu everytime.
Also, selling potions you've made is the best way to earn money because a) the ingredients almost always cost less money than you would get in return for selling the potion you made with them and b) you can steal ingredients which at that point you can't sell to a normal merchant but when you make those stolen ingredients into a potion, you can sell that potion to anyone.
It's the best three hours of gaming I've experiencedsince I got my Playstation3 last summer by far. I'm just going to list the things I liked about that game.
1. The puzzles were complex and challenging, but solvable if you just thought through them. If games even have puzzles, they're either way too simple, or you have to consult a manual to figure it out. Not Portal.
2. Despite the fact that there were no traditional enemies, there was still a need to have good reflexes like any other FPS. In certain sections, I would actually feel a little panicked as I approached energy balls or flames that were about to kill me, and have to quickly shoot portals to avoid them.
3. The humor, which is so hard to pull off in videogames without coming across as lame as ****, was hilarious. The "voice" (I don't want to give away the story) said some things that made me stop what I was doing and laugh, not to mention what the turrets would say when you were hiding from them. "Are you still there?! I promise I won't hurt you."
4. The story, which I just mentioned, was actually better than 99% of the games out today. I seriously rushed my way through puzzles just to figure out what was going to happen next.
5. The Portal gun. For those of you familiar with the game, you must have thought how much fun this would be to use in a extended single player campaign where you actually had to kill enemies. I couldn't stop thinking about how cool it would be to use the Portal gun in online multiplayer to eitherget behind enemies, or get them to shoot themselves.
6. The song. (The cake is a lie.)
"This (game)was a triumph. I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS."
Just thought I'd share all that with you who were hating on the Orange Box. (TF2 sucks still though, stupid EA servers.)
and yes... I'm gonna marry Portal.
Are there any other games that use the Sixaxis controls as a core part of the gameplay like I'm assuming Lair does? Most games I've played on the PS3, it's been more of a gimmicky mini-game type thing. Like shaking the controller where you might have to mash one of the face buttons, or some slight maneuvering that would normally be done with a thumbstick. In the case of Heavenly Sword, I ended up turning the Sixaxis controls off. It was easier to direct whatever I was throwing/shooting with a thumbstick than moving the controller, I found. BobZany
I completely agree, I'm so NOT down with the six-axis. Just seems like a cheap gimmick and it's never normal feeling. I wish developers would ignore it all together.
I'm getting sick of Warhawk. My teammates keep teamkilling me when I have the enemy flag just so they can get the points. Happened 4 times today...the4got10one
I think they turned off friendly fire in the ranked servers now! wooo!
Also, don't hate on the original poster people! I can see the merit to why he doesn't like the game. I love it, but it's not for everybody.
They keep track of most everything you can think of, anything you're looking forward to in particular?
I'm not sure why you keep bumping it when you say you're getting it tomorrow already buttttt my roommate has it, the graphics are intense (the sweat is ridiculously cool to watch fly off a boxer when he gets hit), I'm not sure if anyone still plays it, there weren't that many who did to begin with I think. He had some problems with lag and servers but it was mainly his internet connection. (we were stealing wireless)
Overall, $20 bucks is well worth it. You'll play frantic matches where all you do is punch, and other matches where you parry the entire time, every experience is different.
What I meant was for you to post the most times you've killed a PARTICULAR player in a round. They list it in your stats (favorites). How the heck did you score 400 points in a round? That's impressive.
