Right now COD4 is keeping me busy but only for a little while longer since I have SOCOM preordered. I'll also pick up LBP so between them two I'll be fine for a while.
I have to agree with most and say that MGS4 is probably the best game on the PS3, Uncharted is a close second for me. You may want to check that game out as well, I thought it was amazing.
I will, I'm a huge football fan so I'm going to buy NCAA 09 and play it for the month or so until Madden comes out then buy that too. I'll probably play through a few full seasons and save my draft class to later import when I get Madden. Might trade NCAA in at a later time to help me get other games later this year such as Gears 2 but I'll keep it for a while.
I'm in kinda in the same boat as you right now, I'm a huge basketball fan so I recently rented NBA 2K8, its pretty fun if your a basketball fan. I have not played Ninja Gaiden 2 or Lost Odyssey yet but my friends have played them and said they were fun. I'd say maybe try out one of them and see what you think, good luck.
I'm not too worried about it because I think that the people that you speak of will get killed very fast over and over. They'll probably say the game sucks and just turn it off. It won't matter to me, I am the same as you, I have been playing online since SOCOM 2 and completely agree, I think it is the best multiplayer game also.
I have only played Halo 3 and COD4, in my opinion COD4 is better. Also I was in blockbuster the yesterday and they are selling pre played copies of Bioshock for $25. Since I've never played it, should I buy it??
Like White_sox said GS has only gave 6 games the score of 10 in 12 years. Everyone knew that GTA4 and MGS4 would be amazing games and probably score no less than a 9. I own both games and agree with the scores that both received. However, I really don't think that we will see another perfect score for quite some time. We have some contenders later in the year with Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, and Kill Zone 2 so I guess only time will tell.
