TC, You fail on so many levels

1. The underwater and gliding segments, as well as better item balancing, are being praised by dozens of reviewers as great subtle changes.

2. It doesn't have all old tracks. it has 16 new, and 16 remade to suit the new content

3. You're ignoring a huge amount of nintendo IPs let me list them

Disaster Day of Crisis, Xenoblade, Chibi Robo, Custom Robo, all the dozens of different Art S(tyle) games, Dillion's Rolling Western, Pushmo, Battalion Wars, Tact of Magic, and so many more

Also, you can argue Excite Truck/Bots are new IPs since they differ from the older ExciteBike series so much, the same goes for Kid Icarus since it plays so little like old Kid Icarus

Plus, they have so many IPs to revive, like Fire Emblem and Punch Out, Sin & Punishment (which was basically a new IP to everyone outside of Japan)

This doesn't include huge experimental installments in series that make them almost resemble different games like Metroid: Other M, Kirby's Epic Yarn, etc.

WarTornRuston

And with that, the TC loses all his validity and this thread ought to be closed.

1- Which goes back to reviewers being scared to give a Nintendo game a bad score because there is not enough lotion to pass out to their butthurt fanbase. 2- So half the game is new? OK. 3- YOU JUST NAMED OFF A BUNCH OF CRAP THAT YOU ARE PASSING AS A GOOD GAME! Come on man. Half of that crap you haven't even played. And if you are gonna use Excite truck for your argument on quality you need 2 years of therapy. 4- They revived those already. Punchout was decent but basically just updated graphics (Nintendo is good at that as well, How many versions of Mario 64 and TOOT are they now?And other M was crap and Kirby's Epic Year was still just another Kirby game with no difficulty and nothing new. Microsoft brought out Halo Wars and everyone had a fit because it was just another Halo game. And that was by far a completely different game. Every Zelda is the same thing with different graphics and a new control scheme......and it took them 5 years to do what most companies can do in 2..

1. Praised for improving mechanics of items, which has been complained about, and adding new gameplay variety (underwater and gliding) =reviewers being scared to give a Nintendo game a bad score. I fail to understand any of that.

2. Having 16 brand new tracks, and 16 remade 'retro' tracks =/= half of a new game. There are many more features in the game which set it apart from it's predecessors.

3. Just because YOU haven't played them, doesn't mean they're bad. Disaster day of crisis, Chibi Robo, Battalion wars, Tact of magic, Sin and punishment, etc. are all GREAT games.

4. Let me guess, you just watched youtube videos of Punch-out? It's far from just a graphical update. I logged a good 60hrs into that game alone. BTW, OoT is on N64, Virtual console, and remade on 3DS. Mario 64 is on N64, and made on DS with new gameplay elements.

5. Other M was not crap, it was just to linear for a metroid game, but still a great game. Kirby's Epic yarn was not "just another Kirby game." Infact, both of those games could have passed as new IP's if they didn't use the same memorable characters. But in your world, a game is a rehash if it uses the same characters, eventhough everything else is completley changed.

6. How is every Zelda game the same thing if the story is changed, the art is changed, the world is changed and the control scheme is changed every time? Same character use again?

[QUOTE="lx_theo"] Good think I don't like multiplayer very much at all... lol, good try.

And yes, TAKE MY WORD AS TRUTH. Do it, or whichever heavens you choose will strike you down into Oblivion and force you to play that conversation mingame to get people to like you! Because thats exactly what i said to do! Muahahahahaha!

Bravo.

lx_theo

How many of those "horrible franchises" have you beat anyway?

Lets see, exact number is 5 that I've played through games on an enjoyed. About 12 others (may have missed one or two) I've tried (a number of them multiple games just to try and like it), and found to be not worth my time. You have a point?

So of the 27 Games that he listed, you have beat 5, which you admit are good, which leaves 22 games which you haven't beat.

Then you go on to say that 12 of those 22 games, you've played, but did not complete due to them not being desired.

This leaves 10 games that you haven't played.

As for me,of the 27 Games that he listed, I have beat 23 of them, 18 which I admit are excellent, 3 of which are not so good, and 2 horrible. which leaves 4 games which I haven't beat.

Of all of the games I own, I have beat them all.

This leaves 4 games that I haven't played.

Therefore, I have more experience than you with those games, so when I say two horrible games out of the 27, my word should be taken with more credibility than yours.

...If we're going to play the SW formula.

[QUOTE="hiphops_savior"][QUOTE="lx_theo"] WHile there are a few good ones in there, you just listed off a ton of horrible franchises.lx_theo

Yes, I'm sure your definition of horrible franchises to be Word of God, and we must listen to your excellent taste. I have a better idea, lets play the same 5 hour game that tries so hard to rip off of Indiana Jones and Hollywood and the same online multiplayer game with campers and noob tubers.

Good think I don't like multiplayer very much at all... lol, good try.

[QUOTE="D4W1L4H"] In the case of the sequels the hater are praising? No. Uncharted = Same controls, same art style different world, different quests through 1, 2 & 3. Gears of war = Same controls, same art style, different world, different quests through 1, 2 & 3. Zelda = Different controls, different art style different world, different quests through all games. Therefore, Zelda is rehashed.

EDIT: Okay, maybe OoT, and Majoras Mask used same controls. Also, TLoZ and Zelda II. But the rest are different :P

AtariKidX

All sequels are rehashed then. Are we at an agreement?

All Nintendo games are rehashed......

Ah... The Infamous AtariKidX. I've seen your comments kept in a few sigs. So... Rare developed Metroid prime?

Yep. The character is all that matters. If we see the same Character, even with completely different game mechanics, story, controls, world etc (i.e every Nintendo sequel) it's a rehash. .... (i.e every Nintendo sequel) :P

*Sarcastic tone*

I agree with everything TC said. The only people who would even pretend to disagree and the kids with Link avatars...

YoshiYogurt

Please do enlighten me. Nintendo games always feel like they have worthwhile changes and great new content to me.

The reason is because he's a kid who thinks Zombies are cool. *See avatar* ...He may also like turtles.

Phantom Hourglass is my second least favourite Zelda game (Least being Zelda II).
Though Skyward sword, in my book is amazing, well deserved 10/10, Twilight Princess is still my favourite of all time.

Just remember sheep. You all never have the right to talk about another company milking a franchise so bad that the teets start leaking powder. Nintendo has mastered the art of doing the same thing over and over again and calling it different......and you guys play along like 3 well blind mice.

Oh look. Nintendo haters trash talking about games they haven't played. Suprise suprise.
It's funny how they talk about rehashing, when they make they same argument (that has been shot down countless times) over and over again.
Atleast get something new to say.
