Level 20...OMG!!

So it's been a while since I posted a blog. I've been busy playing with games such as Gears of War 3, Skyrim and Fifa 12. I've been busy with my Graphic Design, friends, games, etc.

Wow, I'm level 20 already? I've been in Gamespot for quite a while now way back since December 2009. I'm two years in Gamespot and still going strong. It feels like I've only been here for 8 months. Time flies pretty fast. I plan to stay her as long as I can.

So I'm definitely looking forward for 2012. It's going to be big this year with plenty of anticipated titles: Mass Effect 3, Bioshock Infinite, GTA V, Borderlands 2 (I'm a fan of the first one), and so on. What I'm really excited for is this years E3. I'm always excited for E3 every year, but for this year it's going to be big for me since all the rumours about a new Xbox console being revealed and announced, as well as the Nintendo Wii U being released this year. I was hoping that Sony will reveal the next PS4 in this years E3, but I was kind of let down when I heard the news that there won't reveal a new console to compete against Nintendo and Microsoft. It's either because they're going to stick with PS3's 10 year cycle or maybe due to the financial woes they're in right now (Yes, Sony is in trouble financially and have been losing money four years straight).

It looks like it's going to be another big year for gaming.

GameSpot and Call of Duty. Why the hate?

So I've started to notice that most of the users (not all) here in Gamespot really hate Call of Duty. People here on Gamespot are complaining for the same reasons: recycled gameplay and graphics, same multiplayer etc and that they would rather get Battlefield 3. Yet, I find it ironic that the last two Call of Duty games happens to be the best sellers.

I bet that half of the users here on Gamespot who say BF3 will be better will eventually be playing Call of Duty anyway when they realise that BF3's playstyle is absolutely different from Call of Duty. Call of Duty seems to deliver the fun into the game straight away as soon as you start playing multiplayer, whereas in BF3, you have to earn it.

Going back to my PC roots

It seems like I will be going back to PC gaming.

My reason is beacause this generation of consoles (360, PS3, Wii) have been going on for too long in my opinion. It has been nearly five/six years ago since the seventh gen of consoles were introduced, and the technology of these consoles have been the same until now. And with motion sensor gaming such as Kinect and Move, the lifespan of the current consoles have extended a good two to three more years.

One year on...

So I've been a member here for a year now. This year has been pretty quick and a lot has happened for me this year. What I discovered about gamespot is that a lot of AU members are from Melbourne, Victoria. I wonder if any of them live close to me lol. I might pay them a visit. :D

Not long before COD Black Ops comes out.

So it's not very long until Call of Duty: Black Ops is available. I pre-ordered mine from EB, so I will be picking it up without having to worry that the game will be sold out in the store.

I haven't bought many games this year. Only three games (Battlefield: BC2, Halo: Reach and Call of duty: Black Ops). I thought this year had a lot of good tiitles. Games I was going to get for this year were: RDR, Dead Rising 2 Fifa 11 and Assasin's Creed: Brotherhood. But I've been busy. Thus, only picking up a few games.

Political Ideologies explained...USING COWS

So I was going through my year 11 20th century class textbook when I came across a section from the book about how political ideologies are explained using the example of cows. I found this pretty interesting.

Socialism: You have two cows. You give one to your neighbor.

Communism: You have two cows. You give them to the Government, and then they give you back some milk.

Capitalism: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.

Naziism: You have two cows. The Government takes the cows and shoots you.

Pure Anarchy: You have two cows. Either you sell the milk at a fair price or your neighbors try to take the cows and kill you.

Dictatorship: You have two cows. The government takes both and drafts you.

Fascism: You have two cows. The government takes both, hires you to take care of them and sells you the milk.

Feudalism: You have two cows. Your lord takes some of the milk.
