Not sure how well Delhomme will play after getting injured after 3 games last year and going up against the Eagles secondary really doesnt help so i pick the Eagles but this is a pretty evenly matched game...

That's a possibility. Then again, Larry Johnson might not be able to bounce back either.

[QUOTE="DLateral"]No way is Kampman #1 Jared Allen is the best defensive end in the League, Allen has more tackles, sacks and forced fumbles then Kampman. Kampman shouldnt even be in the top 5 and where is Jason Taylor on this list?wallymartin

Taylor is on teh 3-4 OLB list, since that is likely what he'll be playing.

I went with Kampman for 2 reasons, both of which I believe I mentioned:
1) He has better help. Between Cullen Jenkins and KGB, not to mention Al Harris and Charles Woodson making QBs hold onto the ball, the Green Bay pass rush will be formidable. Whereas Jared Allen has no help on the other side (none, whatsoever), meaning offenses can flood his side with extra blockers. And I'm not sure the Vikes secondary can give him more time. Sure they'll improve this year, but I don't have great confidence in them.

2) Not since Reggie White in the 80's has someone lead the league in sacks for 2 years in a row.

Both Minnesotas DT's started in the Pro Bowl last year so I guess their not that terrible and guy on other side got 5 sacks last year while missing last 4 games so he can hold his own on the other side and Darren Sharper also started in the Pro Bowl at SS so I dont think Vikes defense is 2 bad:) (even though are corners arent Harris and Woodson their still semi-decent)

The Williams are great run-stoppers, but they, along with Edwards, won't generate enough pass rush to pull blockers away from Allen. Also, keep in mind that he is on a new team. He's got new plays to learn, and small intricacies that may not click for a while.

Jared Allen probably IS the best Defensive End in the league, but he's got more obstacles in his way than Kampman does.

Yeah I'll agree with that Vikes are great run stoppers not so good at pressuring the QB...

I'll go with the Chiefs since Rams defense is terrible

Fortunately for the Rams, the Chiefs' offense is terrible. St. Louis shouldn't have too much of a problem getting pressure against KC's absolutely horrendous offensive line.

That is assuming Branden Albert doesn't pull a Joe Thomas and play like a great LT right out of the gates.

They have Larry Johnson and Tony Gonzalez who arent that bad and Huard and Croyle had a better passer rating then Bulger and Frerotte last yea and you dont know how bad Chiefs O-Line will be next year they havent played a game yet plus they picked up 2 offensive linemen in the draft which will help out up front...

I'll have to give you that. Still, Croyle hasn't shown if he can be a starting NFL QB, Bulger has.

And this thread is about predicting what we think will happen, it wouldn't be very fun if we all just sat back and said "We don't really know."

Yeah Bulger has proved he can be a starting QB and im not saying Croyle has just saying that Bulger might not be able to bounce back from terrible year he had last year...

Nice list Wally, I really like how you have LT up athe top I think he may not be best out there for this coming season but you never know until they start playing, but I must agree that Jamal Lewis should not be on this list, but it's your list and you should stick to it.wwe4ever_in05

Wouldnt expect that sourt of talk from a Browns fan:P
