OMFG this site is just WRECKED!

Constant 'error 500' server pages and 404 pages for even the most basic links.

I edited one of my reviews and changed the score from 9 to 8 and now Gamespot shows it as "0.8". SERIOUSLY??

Everything keeps timing out. I don't need to be reminded of the days of dialup, GAMESPOT.

I'm sure this excuse for a makeover was the decision of some corporate conglomerate. Whatever. I'm outta here. Nothing good ever lasts it seems.

This Gamespot makeover is HORRIBLE!

The original layout allowed instant viewing of game rankings for each system and the game listing/search functionality actually worked - very well. This new layout is clunky and SLOW, games and reviews are hard to find, everything seems very watered-down and corporatised, and it's just not the same awesome Gamespot as it was before. Gamespot had a very unique, original look and layout. Now it just looks like any other no-name site. Terrible. I guess i'll be going elsewhere. A sad day in Gamespot history :(

Yes - id Software RULED the '90s!

John Romero was a key to that success.

@Griever832 True. There's a place for monster TV screens in all of this, of course. They will interface with mobile devices and/or services. We're already seeing a large influx of 'Internet-ready' TVs. Imagine the HD gaming experience at home on your 55" TV interfaced with your mobile device/service, and then continuing the fun at work, on the road, etc. Inept touch interface? True as well. Which is why I've already predicted Kinect-like hand gesture recognition on future mobile devices. See the push for multi-core mobile processors and multiple cameras? There's definitely a reason for it :)

My prediction: Nintendo will go the way of Sega, making games for other consoles (but will do well, especially in the mobile market). The WiiU will become like the Dreamcast. Sony will develop hardware for mobile gaming platforms and will continue dwindling support for the PS3 for years to come. No PS4. Microsoft will not make a 'nextbox' but will instead focus on their Windows mobile platform for gaming. Existing mobile service providers will use exclusive titles and online service offerings to lure gamers to use their data services. No longer will the major focus be on hardware, but rather on who offers the most quality content and reliable service. There will be much collusion between existing console developers and mobile service providers, to survive in an increasingly stagnant economy. Mobile is where it's at.
