For me there was just something eerie about Outlaw's ending in Black. I genuinely felt bad for the guy. He accidently killed two people, and he ended up in the mental institution because of it. I remember when I ran over a squirrel driving my car and I couldn't stop thinking about it and how bad I wished I were paying attention more even though it's just a squirrel. He gets his shot and thinks he takes care of business and takes a one in a million shot to the head and dies. It felt like an ending to a good movie. Loved it.Ā

A great aspect to TM Black was the unlocking of various characters while you fought them throughout the tournament. The characters are usually familiar characters that we have seen in the past, but what characters would you like to see from outside of the franchise?

Ā I would personally like to see Nathan Hale, from the Resistance franchise in a car. He doesn't want to be an alien, and he's slowly turning into one. I think it's enough for him to fight for.Ā

Should Calypso be the final boss in the games? I know he's the one who ends up granting the wishes, but it's his tournament. Why doesn't he fight in it at some point?

Though the game's announcement is likely put off even further than we hoped, should it include an adventure mode? For example, should the game have missions on foot with certain characters such as GTA, then have the death-match style as a finale for the mission. Should the game stay to it's true form and simply be a car combat game.Ā

I think the PS3 is certainly the system to work in new aspects to the franchise, but I would be afraid it would take away from the game.

What does everyone else think?Ā

Obviously you don't want to play the actual game with music that's licensed with lyrics. I meant a song to represent the game like Paint it Black did for TM:Black. As for the in game experience, you're right. No need for an actual song, the exciting car chase style music with the ominous feel to it is perfect for this kind of game. I would go nuts and honestly feel distracted if they had some big hit songs playing during each level. I just remember loving to play games like Tony Hawk when it first came out, but I literally couldn't take playing anymore because it meant having to listen to the same 5 songs over and over again. I think devs realize this nowadays, and it wont happen.

I disagree. I think Paint it Black was a perfect song to rep TM.

Was looking at some of Jaffe's old video blogs from when he first started making his game. The videos pretty crappy but the audio's good. He basically is reading a comment from MrCamo that is bashing Twisted Metal as a series and how it should have been a one game thing and didn't deserve all of the sequels. Then they talk about the new game and sarcastically say MrCamo's going to love the new game.

It's old, but why would they suddenly stop making the game?Ā

I agree. For me, Brimstone's wasn't great, but the whole time I was thinking "wow, this guy is launching people that blow up as a special, how is he not a psycho. Oh wait, he's a psycho."

He did say that, but I made the comment to him right after that my Twisted Metal dreams for the PS3 are shattered and he sent this back to me

@dtmethot "Your HARBOR CITY dreams should be shattered.Twas a game Incognito was working on in like 2005/6. That's what I was referring 2."

There's still hope.
