What are some good PC games.....Myst? Never heard of it until this thread....I have a DS but I dont really play it that much....
What are some PC games that I would like??
_MURS_
Myst is coming for the DS. But I would recommend getting it for the PC, preferrably the RealMyst version. The original version is basically a series of images of rendered environments with some basic animations that you click to move around while RealMyst is a 3D version.
The sequel, Riven, is more of the same with larger, nicer looking environments.
The third part, Exile has asort of compromise between 2D and 3D where you can look around freely instead of clicking to turn.
I have not played the two most recent versions yet.
I don't play the PC much at all but all of the classic point & click games would be a recommendation, games like Simon the Sorcerer, Escape from Monkey Island, Atlantis, Sam & Max, Loom, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis... I would google and wikipedia for more.
While I do like action games, I like no-action games too, especially the Myst series which is basically only exploration, item interaction and puzzles. TC, if you haven't played them, do.
There are more games of that type than most people realize, but the larger gamer population seem to favor action games. The original Myst was the highest selling game ever until the Sims if I recall correctly.
Although action for me is any game which requires lots of reactions in real time, which would include Indigo Prophecy. Just because you don't shoot people doesn't mean it isn't action.
The latest rumor, and I really men rumor is that Shenmue 1+2 Plus and Shenmue 3 will be announced at TGS all for the Xbox 360. And since I have a really low post number and don't want to be laughed at this is the source: :)

If that list is true...well it will make my year, and restore my faith in SEGA.
I still ownmost of the consoles I've bought or been given, and each gets played every now and then. They are: Gameboy, GameGear, Mastersystem, SuperNintendo, Megadrive/Genesis with MegaCD add-on, Playstation, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Xbox, Dreamcast, Playstation 2 and Xbox 360.
I never saw the MegaCD as a full console, but if I did it would have been a clear winner. Instead its it's main console, the Mega Drive. The reason is simple; not enough games that I liked. Soleil and Insector X are in actuallity the only games I really enjoyed for it at the time, Thunderhawk too if you count the MegaCD's games.
After that the Gamecube and Nintendo 64 follows closely with about 10 games each that I like or want for the systems. Now, the games that I have played for the Nintendo 64 have been some of the best experiences I've ever had but as i think about it, I'd rather have 20 good games than 10 great for no matter how great, eventually Iget bored or need a break.
So, if a consoleover it's lifetime has 20 games I like thenit's not a disappointment to me.
It depends somewhat on the definition of a gamer. I know of only one out of all the people I know that have never played a video or pc game. But if I narrow it down to if they own a console or gaming pc and game fairly regularly then 95% of the ones I know my own age or less are gamers, and 5-10% of those age 40 and up are.
If we narrow the definition to include more than one console or gaming pc and the person to be update with what happens in the gaming world then perhaps 50% of my friends are gamers.
I'd say none of us are really hardcore, not even I with my 9 gaming consoles, we just enjoy it a lot.
