As a long time Rangers fan, I'm kind of excited about them coming in under the radar. Everyone is talking about the Angels, because of Pujols, which is understandable.

Even losing CJ, Yu Darvish is the real deal. ZIPS is projecting him to go 13-7 with a 3.63 ERA, and his sabermetric stats look even better (high strikeout rate, low walk rate, doesn't rely on his defense to be good).

Josh Hamilton had a down 2011, and Nelson Cruz was hurt most of they year until the playoffs. You saw how he did in October. There's no way Napoli will have as good of a year as he did last season, but I think he can still be an elite hitting catcher.

It's going to be a much closer race (Texas has won the division by 10 games the last two seasons), but the Angels don't have the fielding and offense that the Rangers have.

The Angels have an advantage in pitching (obviously), but it's not nearly as big as analysts have made it seem.

As a Cowboy fan who's still crushed about defeat, I truly feel bad for Wade. It's like he's the first favorite to ever lose in a playoff game. The guy will bring a SB to Dallas one day, if he's given the chance. When a culture of losing is present like in Dallas, winning that 1st playoff game is tough. But he can do it. They WILL come back from this.

To the idiot who said that Jeff wrote like a 5th grader:

Yeah, there's a reason for that. The average newspaper writes at a 6th to 7th grade level. Why, you ask? To not alienate their audience. Seeing as most people here are teenagers, this seems like the smart thing to do.

They are not a pretty decent power hitting team. Nobody on the team has more than 17 homers. They are and have been near the top of the league in strikeouts, and their OBP is a putiful .320. Yet somehow, Rudy Jaramillo gets a free pass here. It boggles the mind.

Texas 30, Baltimore 3

That isn't a typo. The Rangers won by 3 touchdowns and 2 field goals in Game 1 in a doubleheader. It's not everyday you see a pitcher "earn" a 27-run save. I don't know what to say about the only highlight for the season other than I just witnessed the biggest smackdown since 1900.

I know! Finially, we won't be made fun of!

Agreed on Merrill Hodge. All he does is bash the Eagles for no reason sometimes. Even when he doesn't talk about other teams he seems very unintelligent. He's always getting schooled by Jaws.-Dionysus-

I could care less about the Eagles (Cowboys and Bears), but Meril Hodge's hating on Vince Young was just terrible.

No, Skip Bayliss hates Dallas. Ever since being fired from the local radio station here (which has become a major success without him), he's had some vandetta against Dallas. He said Troy Aikmanwasn't a HoF. Come on.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I've been busy thinking about the negatives, when infact, its only going to be a couple of months. The only game I really care about is Bioshock, and it will be there when I come back for winter break. Hearing from you guys, it puts the decision into perspective.
