A little update here. Well, in a mere 8 days before I am heading off for college, my parents tell me that I can't bring my 360 to college. I have to get good grades my 1st semester to be able to bring it the 2nd semester. Unfortunately, my roommate only has a PS2, so it looks like I am SOL for the biggest 4 months in gaming history. It's complete BS if you ask me. I usually agree with what my parents do, but I see this as a load of crap. They are OK with me going down to UT to watch the game between them and TCU, but they don't trust me enough that I will do my school work and socialize b/c of the videogames. Any advice on what I should do?
I played the heck out of Halo 2. Probably too much. I was hyped about the beta, but now that I've played it, I don't have the anticipation for Halo 3 that I had for Halo 2. I myself am much more interested in Bioshock and COD4 than H3. Does anyone else have this feeling, or is it just me?

I don't see Sony overtaking anyone until they start changing $399 for the 60GB PS3. What matters is games, and the PS3 doesn't have any major releasescoming this year.
I am going to be going to college in a little over a month, and while I can't wait to go, I'm curious as to the amount of free time you will have. I want to have a social life, good grades, but I consider myself a somewhat hardcore gamer. Does anyone currently in college have any advice on the amount of time you play and study? Should I not even bring my 360 to ensure that I will get good grades?

It's going downhill? Have you been living under a rock the last few months? Go to any website and all the previews will talk about the first TRUE next gen football game. Shoot, just watch the video and you will cream your jeans!
Nice double post. Yeah, Madden has "righted" the ship. I'm pretty sure we heard this last year. It looks "amazing" in the 30 second gameplay videos they spent 3 months prepping on they have shown you. I don't trust anything EA says anymore. I'm skeptical with this rehash of the superstar thing in Live. It will lead to people hoarding certain teams (as if it wasn't bad enough before). Will they work on the online support. It hasn't improved since it was put on XBL in 2005. They still don't have online leagues from what I have heard of. That's downright pathetic. ALL 2K games have online leagues and tournaments, and this feature (or lack thereof) shows to me that EA has become lazy since they bought the exclusive license.
Seriously, is this the Lifetime channel? I don't mean to sound insensitive, but I care about, you know, sports? Who really cares if some kid gets to play with some sports star who is only going on there to improve is PR status? And having Chris Connely, the king of cheese reporting doing this makes it all the more unwatchable. Am I the only one who completely sees through this BS?
