i'm actually listening to the radiohead album now :) i love the concept that radiohead took with this album, and i honestly think that a ton of artists are about to copy them. even if half the people who download it decide to only give $5 or $10 each, thats still probably more money to the band than it would be if they put out albums the traditional way through these huge record companies. plus with a band with a following as big as radiohead, all the people that download the album for free are gonna be made up for by loyal fans giving them $20-$30 because they truly love their music. this would also make artists actually try to make great music
crazy...i remember when he came out with "Purple Stuff", about a month later my friend told me that he died from a heart attack, and I never bothered looking it up or anything...guess he didn't, till now. Devin the Dude gave a shout out to him at his show the other day, so thats how i found out
lol I'm actually going to see Del, Coughee Brothaz, and Devin The Dude this friday in Asheville and was literally just about to make a new thread asking if anyone had ever seen him live :) just curious...did he do any songs from 3030? and i'm guessing this depends on the venue, but were there a lot of people smoking during the show? my friends and I aren't sure if we should try to bring any into the show...but based on how much del, devin, and the coughee brothaz talk about weed i'm kinda just assuming it's gonna be a huge blazefest...is this right?
i'm guessing that you used to not think that this was the greatest album of all time...if so, then i was exactly the same i wasn't really feeling it at all the first few times i'd tried to give it a listen, but after listening to it through a few more times and giving it a real good listen it's undeniable :) the flow is too ill
i wasn't really excited for this at all when i first heard about it...I just thought Jay was rushing out another album for the hell of it the fact that it's a full concept album and that there aren't any commercial bangers on it makes me very excited
