Yeah, they are kind of loud.If it is stuck on a certain color such as green it is a stuck pixel, not a dead pixel. Dead pixels appear as a black pixel instead of a colored one. The stuck pixels sometimes can be fixed but it takes a little program that flashes different colors very rapidly to energize or get the colors working again, I don't think you could get it on the psp. At any rate, I'd also return it for a different one. Also, are all psp 3000's loud when operating? Mine is very loud when the disc is spinning.

Don't settle for anything less than perfect. I went through 3 PSP 3000's until I was satisfied. Mine stll has flaws, but I can live with it. Keep on returning it unti you get a good one. Hopefully all the returns send a message to the new plant making the units.motherboopYou are exactly right. If I'm gonna pay $200 for a brand new system then I sure as heck am gonna get my money's worth.
Today I bought a BRAND NEW Slim PSP and on the screen there's a little green anomaly. I want to know what it is and will it go away.
