[QUOTE="b0ssy"]

[QUOTE="fahad2mail"]i got 5.7 too. Deihmos

u score 5.7 in ram? are u running 2gb?

The ram score will be higher with AMDand lower with core 2 duoand it really doesn't mean anything. Moving from AMD to Intel dropped my score from 5.9 to 5.0 with 2GB of ram.

maybe that is how i score 5.9 for my memory

i have a athlon 64 x2 4600+ cpu

what is 5.9 for ram? i have 2gb corsair 800mhz ram and i only get 5.7.

whats 5.9?:shock:

b0ssy

i score a 5.9 with my 2x1gb g. skill ddr2 800 pc2 6400 running at 400mhz O.O

thats weird..

im using 2x1gb too

i do recall getting 5.9 before i reformatted though..

hmm?:?

the weird part i think is my memory is running at 400mhz with pc2 6400 yet i score 5.9

(i thought they should run at 800mhz)

and you get 5.7 running at 800mhz?

i update my score again and i score 5.9 again

i tried to fix change my momery speed but the BIOS won't let me

i am a noob at graphics cards(console gamer)but want crysis i was thinking of geting a 8600gt but is it worth spending the extra money and geting a 8800gt ,is there mutch diference as the 8800costs more than i want to spend, but i will if it is worth it

thanks:)

stu_godd

you want to play crysis at the minimum setting or the recommended setting?

if u want to play on the recommended setting you need to have 512mb

consider ati hd 2900pro , it's $10 less then 8800gts 320mb

but 2900 requires higher psu

Thanks for the replies guys. I might get the 640MB.

i would say get the one with 640mb becuase it has more memory since the games in the future will probably use 512mb on recommended setting

Still have yet to get new Xbox.:cry:

[QUOTE="IQT786"]just get one of these no point in buying any good card just get this has 128mbenough for dvd playback etc http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125073opamando

And what if she goes with Vista, no areo at all. I mean money is not an issue, now I don't want to waste money, but I feel getting something that low end would be regretted, if not immediately, eventually. But like I said I am very ignorant about lower level GPU's, so that one might serve her well.

Also I haven't mentioned it here cause I did not think about it, but she has considered getting a LCD TV with a 19x12 res, and if she wanted to hook the PC up to it I doubt that would run it too good. The 2600 Pro would be powerful enough for this, non gaming of course?

well, you can buy a motherboard with onboard graphic and test it out and if you or your aunt doesn't like it, then decide rather or not to buy an add on graphic card

well that seems to be the only problem.. I dont have anything on my harddrive so I wll reformat it.. the bios cant detect it, and when I start it up, the winows load screen flashes and it restarts..DrakeNOwns

perhaps you can try to update the BIOS, buy another harddrive, or just return the motherboard :D

about your harddrive

is itsata?

I have a e6550, a 7900gs, and a 550w PSU the fans turn on when i start it but the computer immediatly turns off..DrakeNOwns

did you use thermal grease? if yes, did you make a evenly thin layer of grease? check the temperature of the cpu

the computer auto turn off if the cpu get to hot
