[QUOTE="DamageDamage"][QUOTE="biggest_loser"]Not charging for that would on the other hand not be a good business idea. They didn't charge for the new maps for the first game. Long time ago. Times change, people change, company change. A lot of people would buy them, even if they were priced I think.I was pointing out the extra content would probably be free anyway on the PC so it wouldn't matter whether it was included with the full game or not.

God forbid that a company should want to make a profit on a game in uncertain economic climate!! Shame on them!biggest_loser
Actually, it's not milkage. It's the ultimate form of building up the fans' hype and expectations for the game. This is the ultimate form of milkage.

Halo 3: 10.00m
Killzone 2: 1.81m
LOL, KZ2 sure was a system seller. I think the game had more preorders than it has units sold. Hell, Halo 3 sold twice KZ2's life-to-date sales in its first week! Let's not even bring up the fact that Halo 3 is still the most played online games 2 years after its release. And it almost always shows up in the Top 30 software sales every month. Killzone 2 wouldn't even be found in the Top 50, and it is a much newer game.

duh man you must be einstein everyone knows halo games are popular little kids love it
still halo 3 graphics sucks and 16 players online lol.
Killzone 2 is by far the better game.
Killzone 2 is not by far the better game because it has better graphics, thats a weak argument, you gotta come up with something better.[QUOTE="Furycliff"]
Wow some serious CoD hate!
So for all the people that refuse to buy it because its the same game, what do you expect them to do each time? Make a new engine for each game or something?
Exactly, I remember a little game called HALO 2 that turned out to be crap because they strayed too far from the original. Yes its sold tons of copies and spawned another sequel, but it was crap. I say dont fix what isnt broken. Hopefully they will re-balance martyrdom and the juggs.
Halo 2 was great, its just insane fans that hyped it way too much. I also don't see how it strays far from the original at all. Its an FPS still, in the same universe with the same characters, just new things like hijacking and dual-weilding, as well as a prettier engine. Not too different I'd say. Halo 2 was barely hyped at all. It was Halo 3, though.
