OK, so I got a message in my Inbox that I apparently used gay in a wrong way.
One of these:

"You have been moderated with a Point Loss for a Terms of Use violation. Your Profile level has been reduced. If you repeat this offense in the future, you may receive a more severe penalty such as Suspension or Permanent Banning. Having a paid subscription does not exempt you from being suspended or banned.

Here is a link to our Terms of Use:

Reason for moderation: Second Offense-deragatory use of "gay"
Action Taken: Delete Msg - You lost points for this moderation.

See your moderation history for details."

I strongly disagree, because I said that someone on the E3-show reminded me of the gay or feminine characters in 'Family Guy'.
I even used quote-symbols (like I just did again) but they didn't appear though.
How the heck is that offensive?! It is what they make it look like in 'Family Guy' isn't it?
Geez, get a life people (those who accused me).

You know, I was just thinking:

What would be even better, if the display was like modular.
That you could just drag buttons and modules of course to wherever the user wants them to be.
If not that, maybe there could be more settings/options added in the "prefs".
So maybe you could set each button whether to show or not, positions in which "bar" and for example "left/right or center".

Just a thought.
Might need a while to get to that, but I don't think you'd need to overhaul the entire website.
I'm trying to think of where I saw something similar and it worked really well...

OK, the changes, instantly... not cool, just not...
It took less than a minute to annoy the heck out of me.

Anyway, it will stay this way anyway.
All I'd say is, indeed (as said before) make the bar in the top darker or something.
Maybe, I don't know, make it the same black as in the "dark theme" when you use that one.

Alsooo... the previous games-dropdown was indeed not all great.
Personally it always just took too long to load the "feeds" or updates or whatever.
Which I didn't use anyway, I just wanted to jump to my games.
However, even though now it's been thinned down to just showing the games,
it just shows 10 and then lastly "show all".
Can't it go back to like the full list with a scroll-bar or something like that?
Before I clicked the "show all"-link, I thought it would expand the list to show all titles.
But instead it just went to the "My Games"-page, which takes just as long as the previous version again.

For the rest it's alright I guess.
As long as it's easy to navigate (quickly) and it looks clean and tidy, is all I care about. :)

You know the description-boxes for each tabs of game-lists you have under 'My Games'?
Well, I had already put text in there a long time ago.
Now last months I've tried to change it a couple of times,
but it just keeps coming back with the old text when it auto-refreshed the page.

I do just type in the box and then click the 'Save Changes'-button right?
If that's correct, what is preventing me from changing it?

By the way, I use Firefox 3 now, on WinXProSP3.
But I've only had it for a couple of days, so I did use it with other versions before.
That also counts for the Service Pack, I have tried it while having SP2.

This game? If you would like this game to be covered by GameSpot you can either pass this data along to Dracula68 or submit it via GameFAQs.LordAndrew

Yes, that's the same page I found when looking outside GameSpot. :)
Thanks for those tips, I'll have to give those a try.

But there are many more games missing that just this one.
I just went through a CD-box of old games of mine, mostly from the '90s.
There are 25 games and about 5 to 7 of them are not on GameSpot, you can imagine the percentage.
Then I also found that sometimes a game does have it's own page.
Only sometimes it doesn't show all platforms, like in my case I couldn't find one for the PC.

But I'll do try and submit them then.
Thanx!

Hello,

I don't know if there is already a topic about this.
I didn't know what to look for and also didn't even know what to call my topic exactly.

Anyways, I really like this website for, first of all, all the information on games I can find.
But what I noticed, long ago already, is that there is some lack in information on older games.
I know GameSpot probably promotes the newer games
and probably also gets sponsored by those or something like that.
But it would also be nice to use this website as a sort of "WikipediA of games".

It's surprising that I can sometimes find really old games though.
But then there is usually no info on it at all, no text, no pictures or video especially.
So it would be great if that would be updated.
Only, at least this website should be updated in what games there even are.
Like myself I have a game here called 'Dreams (To Reality)'
which is already from 1997 and nowhere to find on GameSpot (unless I missed it, let me know).
I think that's just unfortunate, especially for a game not thát old, like some kind of '80s NES-game.

I'm sure you (GameSpot) would like to have a whole "museum of games".
I would like to add it and make some kind of page on it, as far as I have the knowledge.
But I doubt I can, unless I'd become some kind of moderator or employee even...

By the way, I also just got an idea, how about you do some kind of project.
Like for example, that you take on reviewing all the older games that haven't been yet.
And also try to get a nice collection of screenshots and some good videos.
That would be awesome, if a group of people of GameSpot would make that happen.
Maybe with some members helping out with content and information.

I just thought I'd let you know this.
And ask, is there anything I or we can do about this?
