Ah, the haters. ;)

I swear, if it were Kanye West performing at Battlefield XP, they'd all be:

Sounds fantastic!

Official Modern Warfare 3 Gaming Glasses Announced

First Look: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Jeep

Is a ****c car show a good place to find gaming news? Probably not. At least, not unless the show is Detroit's annual Woodward Dream Cruise. The rolling event, which spans several miles and over a million people in one day, brings hobbyists, collectors, and manufacturers together in a epic display of muscle.

Chrysler's MOPAR division chose this location to showcase several of its own muscle, including the update to last year's Call of Duty Black Ops Edition of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and we had a first look.

The aptly named Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Edition looks to be a worthy successor to the Black Ops Edition for one reason alone: you'll actually be able to drive this one without terrifying neighborhood children. Where the Black Ops version was offered with over-the-top accessories likesnorkelsand break-away doors, the MW3 Edition is based more on stealth and designed-in utility.

If you mean big as in high advertisement budget, then yeah

If you mean big as in high quality and content, then hell no

NoodleFighter

He means big as in hotly anticipated, most money generated and most units sold.

Like COD. On PC, it sells 2 million. On consoles, it sells 18 million. Go figure.

Most PC gamers know to stay away from that series :P

Come on, that's a bad excuse. ;)

It won't die, but numbers will drop fast after this year.. You can't keep beating a series to death like this and expect it to live. This isn't a sports title where there is always a market, this is a specific genre that is just popular right now. A new genre will take its place, we just don't know what that is.

Between BF3, CoD MW3, and all of the other modern military shooters that have been released and are coming, the genre is getting overstruated fast. EA is crazy to think an every other year cycle between Battlefield and MoH (the same that Activision does with the two teams working on two different CoDs) will work well this late into the game. Sure BF3 may take the cake as the best modern military shooter ever, but I doubt BF4 or some other BF game will do very well 2 years after BF3.

I think this whole competition between Battlefield and CoD is making the modern military shooter reach its heights in terms of hype. I can imagine after this winter, people are going to start losing intrest in the whole thing.

EA would be better off investing in other genres and settings. That would improve their odds to increase their market share after this phase passes.

Wasdie

Wishful thinking, imho. COD only gets bigger and bigger.

I gotta agree that someday ppl will finally get bored of CoD. Whetever it is in 3 years or not I don't know that. It may be sooner, it may be later but we know it will happen someday. Miroku32

Just like any other game, then.

Use PC scores. PC is held to a higher standard and is always the definitive version. Nice try.

lightleggy

Ah, the excuses. If it's the definitive version, it should have scored higher. It did not. It's not the best version. Face the facts.

it didnt scored the same because PC has higher standards...imagine that PS2, PS3 and xbox never existed, that PS1 is still here BUT that PCs are the same as they are today, so lets say a PS1 game gets released in PC with PS1 graphics, it will obviously be criticized because its mediocre graphics, which are not mediocre for a PS1 but are mediocre for a current PC. although cod graphics are mediocre even for consoles. PC has higher standards, when a game scores higher in consoles its either because its a bad port or because the game just couldnt keep up with the PC standards.

So, if you "can't keep up with the standards, you score higher"? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Oh, I'm done here. You guys are ridiculous.

You missed the part about higher standard, where CoD is no where near good enough to hang with Battlefield.

Lol facts. You clearly don't know them, or can't accept the truth. Talk about excuses.

Higher standards...? Did you just make this up?

Call of Duty is more innovative than Battlefield.

HaloPimp978

Really? You have to be kidding please explain your reasons cause last time I checked BF is way more innovative than COD. All the games are different and the graphics are better. Meanwhile while COD is nothing but the same boring old graphics and gameplay. BF3 blows away MW3 every way possible, you need to watch the new trailer because you're being denial that it looks better than every COD game. COD fanboys are the worst fanboys and you're one of them.

Call of Duty 4 is one of the most important shooters in history, because it innovated.

Nobody cares about Battlefield, because it doesn't innovate.
