Eureka!!

First episode of season 2 of Eureka airs in 13 days, which I am excited about. The first episode which is titled the Phoenix Rising airs July 10, 2007.

Phoenix Rising
A series of sudden deaths, in which the victims spontaneously combust, has the residents of Eureka entertaining all manner of bizarre theories including Taggart's theory that solar flares caused by the eclipse, or the 'Phoenix Effect', are to blame. When Carter discovers that a blast of radiation from the artifact had penetrated the wall of the chamber and is to blame for the spontaneous combustion, it becomes a race against time to save the other two people exposed - Nathan and Kevin!
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

First I am not a movie person what so ever, I am a TV person. I have not been to the movie theater in years so basically I just wait for the movie to come out on DVD to watch them because like I said I am not a movie person in the least bit. The Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End itsn't any different. I probably won't go to the theater to see this either, I will probably wait until it comes out on DVD and buy it. But it looks like its a great movie haven't see the first two yet (but I have them on DVD :P) So I will watch the first two before I watch this one. But it looks like a really great franchise and I have been meaning to watch the first two but haven't gotten around to it. Its probably because I dont' get excited about movies like I do TV shows.

But here is the trailer.

New shows coming this fall.....

Lately in my opinion there hasn't been any good shows. The only shows that I watch that I think are worth watching every weekis Eureka, Stargate Atlantis, Cold Case, Shark, Boston Legal to name a few. This fall I think that some of the networks are introducing the good shows the ones tha I like so far are:

Private Practice

Big Shots

Eli Stone

Flight of Concords

Sam I Am

Ft. Pit

Nurses

K-Ville

Miss/Guided

Protect & Server

Is This Really The End For 'Battlestar Galactica'?

Some say yes, others (like David Eick) no

Death is never black and white when it comes to Hollywood (or even Hollywood North like Vancouver). So it's no surprise that some of the who's who of Battlestar Galactica aren't sure if the season will end after the fourth season or not.

Just a day after both Edward James Olmos and Katee Sackhoff told IESB that the show would end after the fourth season. But now there seems to be a lot of back tracking by the studio and showrunners on if and when BSG is nearing its endgame or not.

For those of you who have been paying attention over the years, this is not the first time Eddie has made an announcement about the possibility of the show's end, executive producer David Eick told SciFi Wire, adding that when he and fellow executive producer Ronald D. Moore decide on BSG's fate, we'll let you know.

But not everyone is sticking with that story. In fact, Eick's statement is one of several scenarios that seems to be floating around the Galactica offices these days. While some of the stories are differing at various levels, one thing being told to SyFy Portal seems to be constant: Whether or not BSG ends 22 episodes from now is a big question mark, however, when the fourth season finale airs in late 2008, it will conclude the search for Earth.

There also is a possibility that SciFi Channel might take a similar route to the end as ABC is doing with Lost, either really splitting the fourth season up, or possibly even going as far as actually having two shorter seasons.

In fact, SciFi Channel could be looking at the continued success of BSG on DVD, and depending on how this fall's direct-to-DVD film based on the Battlestar Pegasus does, there's a good chance that future (or even past) stories of the Battlestar Galactica could be told in a similar way that Stargate SG-1 will continue on in direct-to-DVD telemovies.

Whether they are talking about it publicly or not, showrunners are preparing for an end, and it's an end that will come sooner rather than later.

A sneak peek at this fall's lineup

by David Bianculli

New York Daily News (MCT)

11 May 2007

Broadcast network executives will huddle in New York this weekend to put the final touches on their fall schedules. The lineups won't be solid until next week, but there are already some clues to the shows that may or may not make the cut.

One series we'll definitely be seeing is Action News, a sitcom about a TV anchor team, starring Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton. That's already got a series commitment from Fox—and with those stars paired together, no wonder.

Another, no doubt, is the Grey's Anatomy spinoff, Private Practice, which Grey's fans just got to see as a special episode, putting Kate Walsh's Addison at center stage.

One we probably won't see is Cavemen, a proposed ABC sitcom spinoff of those GEICO commercials. An Ain't It Cool Web site contributor who saw the entire pilot called it "jaw-dropping horrendous."

In other hard-to-imagine network moves, I'm baffled by how CBS could name a sitcom Fugly and expect to suffer no backlash. It stars Nikki Cox from Las Vegas and Marissa Jaret Winokur from the original Broadway show Hairspray as identical twins, one of whom undergoes a major, expensive makeover. The buzz on this one is not great, either - though so few sitcoms are standing out, some may make the cut just to balance out a schedule.

In drama, CBS reportedly is hot on shows that, like ABC's Brothers & Sisters, feature huge, ensemble casts. Family drama Los Duques stars Jimmy Smits, Rita Moreno, Hector Elizondo, Lee Tergesen and Polly Walker, while supernatural drama "Babylon Fields" stars Amber Tamblyn, Kathy Baker, David Patrick Kelly and Jamey Sheridan.

NBC reportedly favors The Bionic Woman, starring British actress Michelle Ryan, and Lipstick Jungle, the new Candace Bushnell (Sex and the City) concept, starring Brooke Shields and Kim Raver. Fox is bullish on sci-fi: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is a Terminator spinoff starring Lena Headey, and Them (aliens as sleeper-cell terrorists) stars Tricia Helfer from Battlestar Galactica.

ABC is high on, among others, two upscale dramas, Dirty Sexy Money (Peter Krause, Jill Clayburgh) and Perfect Gentlemen (Dylan McDermott, Joshua Malina), and a modern remake of Marlowe, starring Jason O'Mara from Men in Trees. CW supposedly favors two new dramas, one upscale (Gossip Girl), the other supernatural (Reaper).

Personaly I can't wait for Perfect Gentlemen and and the Grey's Anatomy spin-off Private Practice.
