@xboxplayer1: Xbox has killed 3 different franchises that I loved. I don't see any of this as good for me as a xbox player. In fact Xbox is notorious for killing most of their franchises. Microsoft has gotten themselves into the situation they were in because of their poor decision making and chasing various things. Also Sony did literally nothing to attempt to stop this acquisition. Sony isn't concerned about games really, they are concerned about selling a console. Microsoft is more concerned about selling games. The two have different ways they make money. Sony is essentially a hardware company its what they've always done. Microsoft is a software company. Its all they've ever done. Also you don't need a xbox to play anything. Microsoft no longer does console exclusives because they can't afford to do so when they want to sell as many games as they can.

@shalomanoray: WoW is alive only due to its dedicated fan base. They had 2 horrible expansions and had Dragonflight been bad too the game would have been dead. People were leaving in droves due to BfA and Shadowlands. But thats on Blizzards side to make sure all that was doing well, not really Activisions.

CoD sells well because it has literally no competitor that can compete on the level it does. Sure you have games like Battlefield or some indie ones but they cannot pull the numbers that CoD does really. It is the number 1 best selling game yearly after all.

@johnny0779: Microsoft signed a deal with Sony to keep CoD on playstation consoles so yeah that sortof worked itself out. Microsoft is so big into selling their Game Pass (personally don't care for it) that they'll put anything on it if it makes the numbers go up.

@shalomanoray: Sony isn't going to compete. They weren't worried about the acquisition to begin with and even stated such. Sony only cares about selling their consoles not their games.

@lonewolf1044: Microsoft has a habit of killing most of the franchises it buys. Also I think you are heavily mistaken in your "sony is mad" or however you put it. Sony has literally done nothing to stop the acquisition with the boss even going as far to state that CoD wouldn't leave playstation even if the acquisition occurred. The FTC is an american thing its not influenced by a japanese company. Their primary goal is for an equal playing field for all within the market, whether that be video games, tv, movies, or whatnot. Its their job to ensure one company doesn't own the majority within a market field. The reason they were stopping it was because with this buyout Microsoft would own the majority of big name gaming franchises which is not considered fair in the video game market. Its not a matter of "oh well they need to come up with something better" this was a argument about the here and now and nothing in the future. The FTC was also only arguing about Microsoft acquiring CoD specifically because CoD is the number 1 selling video game yearly and as such it holds a massive influence within the gaming space. Who ever holds it would generally become a big influencer in situations.

For the record Xbox chose to not have exclusives, it wasn't a decision they were ever forced into doing. Sony merely does it because it helps console sales which is where most of their profit comes from. Microsoft by their own admission has stated that their biggest sales come from games specifically not consoles. Sony is a console seller, Microsoft is a game seller. Different thing entirely there.

@Smosh150: It's also not 1% who complain about this, considering the entirety of the japan fanbase were in an uproar about it originally in sword it seems more like its 70% of the fanbase who don't want it and its this guy whose in the minority who don't care.

@Mickeyminime: Its a mix, it brings in shit from sword and shield yet its in the art style and method of heartgold. Its just a remake of diamond and pearl but with a mix of both old and new shit.

@r3gn4r: People didn't do it one at a time, the experience all thing was always a thing back then, the difference was its not always on. Thats the annoying thing. This basically gated off all the nuzlockers or people who played the game for harder shit. Which was like the majority of the players (fyi the japanese fanbase are in uproar about it so you are in the minority on the matter). Also people didn't like it when it was in Sword and Shield either, it was one of the biggest complaints about the game. Its why hardcore nuzlockes aren't generally done in the game at all. The problem then was the company just shrugged it off when the japanese fan base bitched about it and said it didn't matter cus they knew it would sell out internationally.

@Smosh150: With the experience share they ruin the ability for self imposed challenges now like nuzlockes too. An this has been brought up to them numerous times and they just shrug it off when most of the fan base showed dislike for it originally.

I think you were ignoring that many pokemon fans enjoyed how tough the original game. Diamond and Pearl is talked about as one of the toughest pokemon games not in a bad way but fondly as the speedrunners love it for this. As for the exp share people hated that about Sword and Shield and it was one of the backlash things. Unsure if you were even aware of that with how you speak about it.
