Oh hell yes. As soon as they release the new series and the previous series drop in price I'm finally going to upgrade this GTX 460 to a 7970 or GTX 6xx.

I'm not concerned about the double dipping because I don't really see it as that per se. Their base game has enough content to warrant the original price tag and the additional classes and campaigns won't phase me much because I'll most likely have moved on to one of the many other titles I have yet to finish this year alone. If players are so upset about the DLC driven distribution of content, it's amazing they're still gamers tbh.

Thanks for the replies. They're very informative and I appreciate it. At this stage I'm tossing up between upgrading my Xbox 360 or coming back to the PS family. It'll probably be the latter.

Hi,

I've noticed that recently the price for a PS3 has dropped in my area and I'm wondering if purchasing a console this late in it's life span is wise or unwise. Considering there is a couple of years left in this generation consoles, is it a wise decision to jump back onboard this late?

also

* What kind of titles justify the purchase.

* Are there any peripherals I will need that I should add to the overall pricing equation.

Thanks for your opinion.

Hi,

I've had an Xbox 360 for a long time now (it's a very old non-wifi version) and have attetmpted to purchase a HDD (250-320gb) but everytime I do I notice the prices aren't comparible to PC equivalent volumes.

* Is this older model X360 worth upgrading or should I think about purchasing a new one with a HDD in the price.

* Is there enough life in this hardware to justify a repurchase considering next-gen consoles may be here as soon as 2014-15.

Cheers.

So I cleared the my human warrior story up through the Field of Ruins (30-40), finishing the area at level 40 and moved on to some crafting etc, that helped bump me up to level 42.

I completed my story (for lvl 42) in the next zone (45-55) but obviously since I fall short of being able to competently participate due to my lower level, I'm thinking I've missed something.

Has anyone else experienced this abnormality?

I'm aware that I could just grind and/or repeat dynamic events I've already completed, or I could farm mats and craft again but I'm more concerned there isn't content for completion in the area my story has sent me to. There is no bread crumb to any quests my level and it feels awefully derailed at this point.

From personal experience I've gathered that there is little to no cooperation needed in story mode. People may be downed but you can quickly revive them ftw.

Here in Australia, Its $60 for 12months... Or $10 per month. So even if you only use it a few times it's worth having just incase.

As for games comming out, Gears3 imo will make it worth it 100%

TwinMachetes

I should've said I'm in AU as well and we're thinking about what titles are coming out that we know we'll go online with. So far there are none, aside from GoW3 which you mentioned. We were starting to think that the Xbox deal with cable tv (Foxtel) might be the only other thing we're really looking forward to keeping Live for :S

I've been a gold member for years now but rarely even use any of the online features due to the fact that I'm mostly a PC gamer, for the keyboard and mouse combo.

Now that we've seen some of the titles (from E3) that are coming our way in the immediate future, is there anyone able to give their opinion on whether or not Xbox Live will have good titles using online gameplay in the next 12 months?

Please keep in mind that i'll be purchasing the new CoD MW3 for PC

Thanks :)
