@MurphysGhost @DarkSaber2k @CCGR_Pheonix No, standalone is an expansion that does not require the base game to function, for example Far Cry Blood Dragon, or Napoleon Total War. This DLC requires UK, hence why they are bundling the DLC with UK. The disc they release wont need a previously owned version of UK to function, but it DOES need a version of UK to function.
@frozenux @DarkSaber2k You DO know Squeenix have been throwing good money after bad at the PC versions to try and win the PC crowd over, right? Sleeping Dogs, Hitman, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, all of the PC versions were given extra budget and told to make the most graphically impressive version they could specially for the PC.
@CCGR_Pheonix @DarkSaber2k "These things are tied deeply into Enemy Unknown so we wanted to release [the Commander Edition] as sort of the ultimate edition, with all the previous DLC on this one disc."
That is NOT standalone. It needs the original game to function, which is the opposite of standalone.
@Dbizzles I assume by sick you mean it's in urgent need of treatment or putting down. Because that's what the word means. Not well. Poorly. In a bad state of health.
@frozenux @Pyrosa THats down to Squeenix being fucking mrons when it comes to budget. They blew millions on bloody HAIR SIMULATION that most people turned off because it was a badly optimised mess that added bugger all to the experience and killed the frames per second.
@Pyrosa It was alright, masterpiece is overstating it quite a lot though considering it barely resembled anything to do with an actual Tomb Raider game.
