To be fair, Squeenix are entirely in the right here. They did a similar move when OCRemix tried to kickstart an FF6 remix album. They did rather quickly come to an agreement that allowed it to happen though. What, did they assume implied consent because the music rights holder, Nobuo Uematsu, said they could use his music? That's just dumb.
