I just got a new PC that was compleatly built out of mostly low end cheap stuff which I had no choice in. Now I have to get it up tothe the level that I like with any PC. I have already got a new EVGA 8800GT SC so now I have 2 major things I want upgraded. I like to check before I buy so here it goes.

Right now I have 2GB of 667MHz non dual channel DDR2 RAM for my PC. I want to get some new stuff and its either I geta new pair of 1GB800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 RAM or I get a new set of 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 RAM and am able to keep my old RAM because it operates at the same speeds. So basiclyis 4GB of 667MHz or 2GB of 800MHz better? I am really tired of getting the "Your computer is low on memory" windows pop up when I play Crysis so will faster RAM fix that at all or just more GB? These are my choices for the 800MHz DDR2 RAM and the 667MHz DDR2 RAM.

My CPU right now is an Intel Core2 Duo 6450 2.13Ghz. This isn't really cutting it for me with all the stuff that I do so I am looking at either the Q6600 2.4GHz Quad Core or an E6600 2.4GHzDual Core. So really is it worth the extra $30 for a quad or should I just get the dual?

One last thing. Can I run a 8800GT SC, Audigy sound card, the quad core processor, either 4GB or 2GB of RAM, a320GB SATA HD and 2 DVD drives with a 500W PSU? Or what should I step it up to?

I have had my 7300 GT for a while now and after having it overclocked with no symptoms for about a month Halo PC suddenly started having graphical anomolies. EG textures flashing and geometry flashing. Now if I play a very intensive game such as Oblivion or use the editor for it the game will either crash when I load a save game up, run for a bit then crash or run fine for the whole time. Now that it never runs for more than an hour I am sure that my previous overclocking hasmessed upsomething a bit. I disabled the overclock when my PC started not booting which was before oblivion started acting up. When it crashes I either go to the desktop, get a black screen and the rest of my PC keeps running or I get a blue screen with the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. I have updated all my drivers to the latest versions. Can anyone tell me if it has actually gone?

OK, I really should have checked on the PSU before I spend a bunch of money on upgrades but I thought that 500 would be ok. Also I would probably run it at my monitors native resolution 1680x1050.

I am not sure if my PSU will run everything I have just ordered so I am making sure. Here will be my updated specs.

-Nvidia 8800 GT 512MB GDDR3OC 650GHz

-500W PSU

-Asus P5B-VM SE Motherboard

-Intel Core2 Duo 2.50Ghz

-2GB DDR2 RAM

-Creative Audigy 7.1 Surround Card

-1 SATA HD 160GB

-Multi Flash card reader

-CD RW 52x drive

-16x DVD RW DL Drive

-16x DVD RW LightScribe Drive

Also will my PC max out Oblivion? I mean full everything with HDR and 8xAA. Thanks.

I am getting a new Halo 3 Edition of the Xbox 360 this friday and I am looking for options to transfer to the new one. Microsoft has already said that the transfer cable won't work. So I plan to sign up for silver Live with my old account then recover it on the new 360. The only thing I'm not sure of is that I want my game saves and do they transfer with your gamercard? Or do (I need to give MS more of my money for a memory card to get those.

Halo 3 Special Edition and a Prenium in repairs.......it was either I got the H3 one so I could play Halo 3 or I waited for my old 360. I just have to sell my prenium now. I hope so much that my H3 360 isn't going to break because they said that it wont be replaced with another H3 one just an elite.

OK then I will get the 8600 GTS OC, as long as I can play Oblivion well and STALKER I will have no problems with it. Bioshock I can always buy for the 360 and know it will look good.

Can the 8600 GTS OC play games like Bioshock well? Or do you need a 8800?
