I finally used the GS video upload thing. Its pretty cool. I uploaded some videos of my flying squirrel in action.

Many of you may have heard of a little town called Hell Michigan. I actually use to live about 10 miles away from Hell in the near by village of Pinckney. After work somtimes in the summer months I would ride my bike staight to Hell. From my house, I took several country roads south until I reached a vast area of Pinckney State forest land. I would take horse trails south, deeper into the forest until I crossed the old bridge spanning Hell creek. From there it was a short ride through the forest to the Hell general store. I usually took a break then headed home after getting a cold drink and cool off on the western style poarch. In Hell village, there is a general store, icecream/gift shop, and the Dam site inn. A good place to grab a drink. Just watch out, the locals can be a little rough arpund the edges.;)

Like any new pet, training is essential. Some are just cooler than others. Thats right, I've been teaching my flying squirrel to glid. He's still young, but already he has the basics.

No, this is not a shameless plug for amp'd mobile, and I don't sell phones. Well, not directly. Here is the amp'd mobile commercial my co-workers and I made. We did all the CG on the liquid and floor.

With the new wii vote channel, I thought it would be a great opportunity to allow wii users to give nintendo some real feedback. I've created a topic in the nintendo wii forum, with a poll for wii-vote suggestions. If enough people post the same, or similar suggestions on the wii-vote channel, the more likely they are to make a difference.

You might have pressure at school now, I know I did. But just wait. If you get that sweet job someday, just be prepared for how much you might have to put in.
I've worked the last three weeks with two days off. Last week, I put in over 85 hours, Sunday and Monday were one day! But its all worth it when you do something you enjoy. And its worth it when you work for people that care about you too. Besides getting payed, I get the satisfaction of seeing my work on TV for the first time this week. If any of you have seen the new Pontiac G6 spot on major networks, that was the studio I work for. :)
I saw it a bunch of times on TV last night and I was OMG! sweet! Of course I have seen it over, and over on my screen at work. But to see it finished and on TV, man! all the late nights and going to work wearing the same pair of jeans for three days straight was worth it!
I did the lighting and rendered a bunch three car end shots, and made material maps and shaders for the G5 in another version of the same spot.
Well, its back to normal, or so I thought. I'm still at work waiting for something to render that has taken up a lot more time than I thought. So I taught it wouldn't be a bad time to take a break and finally post a blog on GS.
