Hey man, good thread. I got the one red ring on my xbox last night. Any advice on what to do? Either send it in to get it replaced/repaired for $125, buy an Arcade Xbox cuz I already have the hard drive, or just buy a PS3. Thanks in advance!
Got the one red ring last night, warranty can't cover it! I'm wondering whether I should send it in to Microsoft, pay the $125 to get it replace/repaired for a refurbished one, buy a new Arcade Xbox (with my hard drive already here) or just buy a PS3. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated!
So I got the One Red Ring of Death today and I read in some forums that the problem could be the AV cable. When I unplugged the AV cable and turned the Xbox back on, it was perfectly fine! Is it really possible for an AV cable to make such a problem? I think I should buy one to save me tons of money on repairs!
Just turned my xbox on a couple of hours ago and got the One Ring Of Death, the bottom right one. It's known as the E74 i believe. Since my warranty already passed, and microsoft doesn't cover the E74 warranty, should I pay the fee of getting it repaired or just buy a new one/buy a PS3?
