FPS: Left 4 Dead for online Crysis and Crysis Warhead for single player Stalker Orange Box Battlefield 2 ( best online fps imo) Coming Soon: Cryostasis FEAR 2 Battlefield 3 (hopefully) RTS: World in Conflict ( awesome multiplayer) Company of heroes Sins of a solar empire Warcraft 3 (try DOTA as well, its a mod) Coming soon: Empire Total War Dawn of War 2 Starcraft 2 Demigod RPG The Witcher ( you must try it!) Fallout 3 with mods becomes a different experience Well thats all i can think atm. Welcome to pc gaming, feel free to ask any questions (software or hardware related).SamiRDuran

A bunch of my friends play DOTA and rave about it but say it takes along time to get in a game. Thanks for the great suggestions ... i do have a quick hardware question though, i am planning on learning how to OC, do you know of any good guides or places to get started?

Hello due to always having a mediocre computer (at best) i have never been that into PC games. I played Worldofwarcraft (best war druid on our bg) with anywhere from 5-20 fps and i played HL2 and counterstrike source with low enough frame rates to where the crosshairs where choppy.

After doing much research i have ordered computer parts for a very nice pc (1200$ range). It can run anygame out there so im just wondering about PC games since i have never looked into them.

I own a playstation 3, so i have played games such as fallout 3. Anyways can you suggest some of the top multiplayer (and singleplayer) games out there right now. Also games to lookout for. I am MAINLY fps orianted but i do enjoy RTS(starcraft 2 coming soon!) and all game types in general.

Thanks!

I have not played it. You guy's recomend 2004 over UT3?

edit: also gfx are a big thing for me. I don't need TOP OF THE LINE gfx but it seems i can not enjoy games with extreamly dated gfx. Especialy if theres a better version out there (Source over 1.6). From screen shots thought UT2004 doesnt look TOO bad.

Also isn't it possible that they will release patches and fix the problems

amazingly fun game.. but

maps are overly big which makes it suck to downlaod off servers, to big for most people

little or no hack protection, so there is botters all over

inactive community

amazing game, so fun so wicked, just too many problems that make it not work well, tho i got a lotta play outta it, i reverted back to ut2004 because it has more activity

riptoe222

lol the big maps are going to be a **** for me. My internet package SHOULD allow me to d/l 300 kps but its f'd up right now. Even wired in i only get 45kbps (minor lag in games with that slow of a connection). Anyways once i get my rig together im going to either A. try and figure out the problem or B. find another internet provider

A lot of UT vets seem to dislike it, but I think it's still really fun. It's a bit hard to find a server sometimes but when you find a good one it's usually a blast. Try out the demo if you want to get a feel for it. If you get it let me know, I'll be glad to play online with you.Marfoo
Me and one or two of my friends are planning on getting it. My parts from newegg should be here today or tommaro so ill update this thread once i build my pc and buy the game. Btw im getting the steam version so the direct IP join shouldnt be a problem for me.
