As much as Borderlands and Fallout3 are FPS RPG's, I'd say they'd suffice. More if you like action-based RPG's. Bioshock/Bioshock2 and Mass Effect 1 and 2 are also great shooter RPG's as long as you take them slowly. People who tend to run and gun in most RPG's (aside from borderlands) happen to die often.

Half Life 2 - Highly immersing, great gameplay, amazing realism in the characters - it feels great. Painkiller - Killing hordes of enemies is fun. Especially when the enemies come in great variety. Ambience and atmosphere are also simply beautiful. Conker: Live and Reloaded - The multiplayer (just like the N64 Version) is highly addicting, diverse and unique. I've never played such a unique game, both story and multiplayer-wise The Saboteur - Punching up Nazis, Blowing up bases, Getting away in high-speed craaaazy pursuits, zillions of free-play targets.. it's simply amazing. The Saboteur has so many things to do, with so many different nazis to kill, not to mention in a number of ways - it's just great.

Yeah, I said it. I own Conker: Live and Reloaded. Therefore, I have it sitting on my shelf. My neighbor gives me his one to keep, just for fun - so I keep it. Therefore it is sitting next to the first one, on my shelf. WHERE DID THE THIRD ONE COME FROM!? This is a mystery to this day. A third Conker: Live and Reloaded xbox game, is sitting neatly on my shelf next to the other two. None of us have ANY idea how it got there. Ever had something so strange, happen to you?

A hard game is something that will adequately challenge your skills on a variety of levels. A cruel game is imbalanced, over-punishing and not well-thought out. Developers must be wary. Dynamic difficult is nice.
