If you were Sony, your buisness would fail.
plus the fact that its not just sony's technology
I reality, some of the codecs used in Blu-Ray, are owned by MS
Proof please? This is pretty common knowledge, but here: http://news.cnet.com/Blu-ray-group-gets-behind-Microsoft-tech/2100-1041_3-5330786.html
This article is old!
MS doesn't own VC1 since 2005. They donated it to the MPEG group and now they do the licesing(and collect then cash).
So is BDA with Microsoft like it it is with Sony and Toshiba or what? No, because in doing so I'd admit that I have no self-respect and that life has no meaning. The next logical course of action would be suicide; and Sonic says "THATS NO GOOD"Mitsugi123No Grenade Man from Megaman 8 says that.

Well i'll be damned. Guess the real question is will the next Nintendo have blu-ray.[QUOTE="Lidve"][QUOTE="dream431ca"]You: Thank god it has a built in Blu-ray player! I won't need to buy an add-on to that.
MS: Oh but to get BD-Live capability you must buy our BD-Live add-on for $80! A real bargain!!
You: NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
dream431ca
But you dont have to add it if you dont need it. Thats why you can get Xbox 360 and play all games for like 200$
No need for blueray- dont buy it,while SONY FORCES YOU TO BUY IT
Sony doesn't force you to buy anything. The Blu-ray player is included with the system, which is much better than having to buy an addon. Including something with the hardware is not forcing anyone. That's like saying, I bought a new car and they FORCED me to buy a steering wheel!
OwnedIf this game sells over a million copies how many of you will man up and admit to buying it. We all know this game is going to at least sell a million, look at mario party 8 for the wii.demon-returnsYou can't play sales. Real people who have self-respect won't play this crap. Kids are the exception.

and why are ps3 fanboys worried about the game being watered down? they already said the 360 version will be on more than one disc :? and for the poster that said the 360 version development just started.. are you serious?

[QUOTE="lostprodigy3141"][QUOTE="Javy03"][QUOTE="rsoxguy12"]Other than the number of disks for the consoles. Do you think ff13 will show the differences in terms of potential between the two consoles? lawlessx
Multiplats are never gonna show the difference between two systems. They are always made with the lowest common demoninator in mind and avoid taking advantage of one consoles strength if the other console lacks there.
Final Fantasy XIII was in development for the PS3 long before the 360 version was announced. I have a feeling the PS3 version will be superior, I don't think they'll be as similar to each other as GTA 4 was.
exactly..which does that mean they just started working on the 360 version afew months ago.
i personally think the reason why the game was hold off for so long was to not only give square enix time to improve on the game, but to see how the 360 will fair in sales.
square enix gave hints about supporting the 360 years before that announcement was made.
August 2nd at that Square-Enix event. 360 version won't start development until PS3 version is finished. It hasn't even started yet.[QUOTE="FragTycoon"][QUOTE="ukillwegrill"][QUOTE="TheGrat1"]If I was Sony, I wouldnt give it to them.ukillwegrill

Proof please? 8th generation, consoles will have HVD(Holographic Video Disc). Wii's successor will obtain HD-DVD. Hopefully M-Soft doesn't rush 720. HVD is not fully usable yet. It'd be a ßitch if Sony got HVD and Microsoft uses digital download or Blu-Ray. Sont fanboys will annoy everybody with teh powerz of HVD.
