Fine job on the Diablo stuff.  I should probably dig out my Battlechest one of these days.  I just started playing Sacred Gold and it's got me all nostalgic too!

The Game Zone I go to isn't part of the national chain but a local indie with (I think) three stores in the Manchester area.  I never really liked the 'proper' Game Zone, there's a couple in my area but they always seem overpriced for new stuff and have hardly any decent pre-owned... although the same can be said for Game and Gamestation these days as well :(

Ah ok, on the receipts I'd get from my local GameZone in Shrewsbury/Chester it always said they had 2 other branches in Manchester in Chester, so idk if it's part of the official chain, maybe not because it didn't have the same logo as the one on the GameZone site, the one by me was pretty much 90% pre-owned stuff though and their prices were far better than Game and at least you don't have to listen to deafeningly loud Green Day when you go in to buy something unlike the local Gamestation, so for me it was good. And ditto on the nostalgia, I'm sure I still have my copy of Sacred somewhere, God knows where though :P

Well, haven't bought a PC game in several years (only thing I play with KB/M is CS tbh) and ended up getting a few last week:

Diablo games

^Nostalgia overload, I have all but the more rare Hellfire expansion already, though not the original big box releases mint/nr. mint and complete like this but I left those at my parents' house anyway. Was $55.99 for the lot and the postage to UK was $48. Bargain imo, gonna play the crap out of them again before DIII comes out.

Also Got S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (Limited Edition, mint & complete) - £14

and Fallout Collection (original release, not White Label, new & selaed) - £5.95

Oh, and some new acquisitions since my last post...

From Game Zone:

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii) - used, complete, minty fresh, £15

Awesome, shame my local Game Zone shut down not too long ago :( I much preferred it to Game/GameStation.

Resonance of Fate (PS3) - £40 pre-order, Amazon

mijahi

This game looks awesome! I am trying to convince a loved one that it would be a really nice gift for me...not that it's my b-day anytime soon, but it's still nice to receive gifts just because...right? Not sure if my puppy-dog eyes were working when they left for work a little while ago...but they do happen to work in an electronics dept that sells all new video game gear...so, my fingers are crossed!

Congrats on all your purchases and I'd like to hear your initial thoughts on RoF when you get a chance to play it. ;)

Cheers and good luck with getting it as a gift! I can't wait for RoF either, I'm not that big of a tri-Ace fan tbh (even though I just mentioned I bough Star Ocean SE, one of their best games imo), some of their games I really like and others I kinda feel... meh, but RoF looks fantastic, so far I'm avoiding its board or anything else to do with it so that I go in knowing nothing, imo the best way to play a good RPG :)

Also forgot to say pre-ordered its guide at Amazon UK, about £12, they changed the release date now and say they'll contact when they know when they get it in stock... I'm hoping they aren't going to cancel its orders :(

excellent!

Sega announced today (3 days ago now) that only one version of the game is to released in Europe and Australasia, with that version given a standard price along with some not-so-standard inclusions.

Yakuza 3 EU/AU release.

Bundled along with the game itself will be a 31-song soundtrack, an interactive "beginner's guide" to the history and relationships of the series' characters (very handy considering few people will have played the preceding games) and four pieces of DLC for the title (which, admittedly, were released in Japan for free) included on the disc.

http://kotaku.com/5464760/yakuza-3s-pal-collectors-edition-is-also-its-regular-edition

Pretty awesome for a regular edition, nice move considering SEGA hasn't bothered much on marketing Yakuza as a series here in the West (least, not marketing Yakuza for what it was and not promoting Yakuza 2 at all).

Considering most collector's editions (or special/limited editions) these days come with that much or just an artbook and sleeve this seems like a step in the right direction seeing as special editions have become such a joke this gen, it's nice to see SEGA seems to be trying to please its fans more this year than it has in its last several (what with localizing Yakuza 3, new IPs like Bayonetta, Sonic 4, the rumoured budget retro console and more).

Anyone else think if a publisher is gonna release a special edition of a game they might as well just make the regualr edition a bit better like this? I hate collector's editions and yet I always pay the extra for them, and I don't know if I'm more angry at myself or the publishers, lol :)

Been about... 11ish months probably since I last posted (moved to a couple new places, laptop died etc), I'll list the things I remember... All are new or in new condition, complete etc, all prices approximate:

Got a new PS3, 120gb slim, £230 with 3 awful games I got rid of straight away.

Got a new PSP too, a piano black slim 2003, put GEN-D3 on it straight away - £100

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3) -£15

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (collector's ed, PS3) - £35

Bayonetta (climax ed, PS3) - £40

Bioshock (w/ sleeve, PS3) - £10

Folklore (PS3) - £16

Shadow of Memories (PS2) - £5

Prince of Persia (steelbook, PS3) - £16

Call of Duty: World at War (steelbook, PS3) - £22

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Veteran Package, PS3) - reduced to £69.99

Resident Evil 5 (special ed, PS3) - £25

Tekken 6 (PS3) - £27.99

Kingdom Hearts: RE: Chain of Memories (PS2, I'll never finish this game lol) - don't remember price

Final Fantasy (PSP) - £18.99

Final Fantasy II (PSP) - £7.99

Dissidia: Final Fantasy (special ed, PSP) - don't remember the price

Shin Megami Tensei Persona (collector's ed, PSP) - $27.99 +$11 for P&P

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings (DS) - £8

Final Fantasy IV (DS) - £13

Chrono Trigger (DS) - £15.65

Mother 1+2 (GBA) - £25-30

Because I left almost all my games at my parents house I went and rebought a few games too:

Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (PS2) - free because I had a load of points on a GAME card, in fact they gave me 1p.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (w/ sleeve, the one sleeve I didn't have, PS3) - £15

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (GOTY ed, PS3) - was given it.

Silent Hill 2 - Director's Cut (PS2) - around £10

Tekken Tag Tournament (PS2) - don't remember price but was hella cheap, my favourite fighting game of all time.

Can't wait for Yakuza 3 & FFXIII now, doubt I'll be buying anything other than those these next few months :) Lovin the sig btw jsmoke03.

I just finished Streets of Rage on PSP via PicoDrive, what a game! Really nostalgic, don't remember if I beat it or not as a kid, the end boss was as hard as I remembered though :)
