Well is the 8800GTX really worth it? because if it barely outperforms the 8800GT then i might as well just get the 8800GT for a lot less $$$

[QUOTE="Deevil0178"]

[QUOTE="Menfear"]But still I suggest you buying instead of one of thse 2900 thingy's, you buy a 8800GT SLi, almost the same price, 3 times as better.. your choice Sentinel672002

well, i was comparing the specs of the two video cards and the HD2900XT has a higher memory clock and core clock than an 8800GTX. The HD2900XT has 1GB of memory and the 8800GTX has up to 768MB.

Apples and oranges comparing ATI and nVidia GPUs. They have different architectures. Also, 1GB of memory is kinda overkill, unless you plan to run at uber resolutions...in fact, 768MB is kinda overkill as well.

Edit - If you want an HD2900XT, this one would fill the bill...

HIS Hightech H290XT512DVN-R Radeon HD 2900XT 512MB 512-bit GDDR3 $398.99

...or you could save some money and get this nVidia one...

EVGA 512-P3-N806-A1 GeForce 8800GT SSC 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 $319.99

Well if i get a video card with 1GB of memory it should be able run games that come out many years in the future right?

You seem pretty good, too bad you won't be able to use DirectX10 when Crysis is out.
