I would suggest playing both just because they are both amazing games but the order really doesn't matter as the story of the two games are really not connected in anyway even though Galaxy keeps some of the elements from 64.
Well it deffinatly deserves it, it has the same feel as Super Mario 64 which was an amazing game in itself and Galaxy also adds a whole new feel to the game. I guess this was to be expected after all this is the result of all the testing that Super Mario 128 that was said to revolutionize the mario gaming and I don't think they needed to change it but only keep the same style as what they managed to perfect in Super Mario 64 and jus add to it and that's exactly what they did so great job Nintendo once again.
I'll have to disagree with ya, I find this to be the best game out yet for the Wii, that I have played, as well as the best Mario game to come out since Super Mario 64. Sunshine just didn't cut it for me as it didn't feel too much like how 64 did but Galaxy feels just like a sequel to 64 in all ways and of course the Wii controls pull it all together in the end.
OMG wow, did anyone fight the first bowser. Truly epic. Hes definitely the hardest bowser in any mario game. And the music. WOW. This game is truly awesome!!!michael582
I did and it took me awhile to figure out how to actually hit him but once you figured it out it was actually easy but it was deffinatly a lot harder then the repetative Bowser boss fights back in Super Mario 64.
I got it a few hours again and so far it's a little too easy making it seem as though it's going to be really short and easy to beat but you never know as I know from experience with Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, the levels get a lot harder as you go and the stars get a lot harder to get.
I think Tails and maybe some other Sonic characters might make it in as Assist Trophies but I doubt there will be anymore as playable characters but we should just be happy to have Sonic in. (Not sure if anyone suggested this yet I didn't feel like reading through the whole topic first.)
