I am not actually going to ask questions, however I do would like to talk about why Angel Beats left a bunch of plot holes into the story. Now, the anime is about a group of teenagers who have had rough times, horrible pasts, and a good amount of drama to why they ended up in purgatory, I think thats what it is. It is either purgatory or heaven, but I can't remember. Anyway, the anime talks about a few characters in the story, but left many questions for the readers or watchers to why they never explained TK's origin, or even some of the other characters.
Now, they could've done that for quite a few reasons. For one, if they gave out too much info about each character, there would probably be a good amount of contradiction that may cross over to other characters stories. Second, I don't think they would want to create every single characters background story, because then they would have to create more episodes, meaning more money spent on the Anime.
Lastly, that would change the whole lesson or theme of the story if they tried to explain every single characters background. Now, you guys are probably like, " No it won't, it would make it even better." Think about how boring it would be sitting through everyone characters background, and then having to change the mood of the anime, because of one flashback or background. That would create a sudden change in feel for the reader or watcher.
So, there are reasons for plot holes. I also wish they could have explained TK's origin, however, ask yourself this, Would TK be more or less of a great character if he stopped being mysterious about what he is about? Maybe there is a reason to why we never learned his origin. Maybe the writers couldn't figure one out.
