There aren't really that many singleplayer FPS anymore. There are what... maybe 1-2 singleplayer FPS at most every year?

All the rest are open world games and they are very boring. Far Cry V is probably the most boring of the franchise, eventhough it has solid mission design, playing yet another open world Ubisoft games is boring me.

Meanwhile there are a ton of interesting multiplayer games over the past years, with moments that can feel even BETTER than the best scripted singleplayer experiences. Where teamplay rules supreme. Shame you deprive yourself of so many great games:

  • Day of Infamy
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Rising Storm 2: Vietnam
  • Battlefield 1
  • Battlefield V
  • Hell Let Loose

I loved Far Cry V. I thought the world was the best one yet.

Pc shooter it what is for me all about using mouse. If you ever play multiplayer Unreal you know what I say. This is genre which make company release fast gaming mouse. Literally new hardware arrive because of fps genre on pc. I only play doom very briefly. Everyone say it a return to form. To me it feel somewhat like Serious Sam run on Halo Engine.

Here an example of pc and console game: Starcraft on pc and Nintendo64. It is a game made for pc it almost unplayable on other platform. If I have choice to play Starcraft on Xbox X in 4K with controller or on window98 pc in 800x600 with mouse and keyboard, I choose pc. This what I mean with doom. It designed universally for all platform. Choices take into account like most game. No way publisher to spend money to release big budget title and not say “okay guys we need to fix this area because it not work so good on control pad.” Don’t be silly. No way if tester say “hey guy this part not work so good when on DualShock” that developer do not look into issue. So much money in it they examine these things. This, it is my argument for why it universal shooter and not pc shooter.

Do you English? I can't understand most of what you typed here.

I found it kind of monotonous, especially the second time. I'm not excited for the sequel. But I can't even think of better shooters I played in the last five years. The genre isn't doing well.

Nah Wolfenstein doesn't touch it. That DOOM soundtrack bangs death, and that's worth the price of admission alone. Get gory, or go home. Nothing gets gory like DOOM.

That soundtrack is weak. It's bad metal. Mostly tuneless and filled with ugly dubstep noises. I sometimes played classic metal albums when I was going through my playthrough, because I was sick of listening to the game's crap.

what about the great Metro series?

its probably the best new franchise that debut in this decade. Metro exodus im expecting it to be one of the best game ever.

I am looking forward to Exodus, but I tried the first metro 2033 Redux and just couldn't get into it. I didn't try Last Light because of 2033. Is it way better than 2033?

I like exploring with multiple means of doing so. In fact, I spend more time wandering around the game world and enjoying the view than actual shooting. So, it's the Far Cry games 3, 4, and 5 for me.

Doom 2016 is okay. But, it doesn't have the vistas I enjoy gawking at or the various means of transportation. I'm also not a big fan of the closed boss arena. I rather have a boss NPC chase me across the level.

What I wish Doom 2016 had is a photo mode a la Far Cry 5 for beauty screenies....like the credits:

I couldn't even get through Doom. It just feels so much of the same. I really enjoyed Far Cry 5.

Again show me where I said they are "failing" (your word which is why it's in quotes)

Show me where I'm "HATING" (your word which is why it's in quotes)

Now show me where I have changed the subject?

I've owned you in your own thread and you can't handle it. Now sit down loser.

Not really, you spinned the subject to talk about stocks, when I mentioned revenue. If anything you're a HATER that got self-powned and doesn't leave my thread admiting shame.

You've got nothing but an IGN article, I given you facts and even answered your replies. All you can do is accuse me of things I haven't said or even insinuated.

Yeah you've lost this debate, better luck next time.

Actually you lost it because you still haven't given me a link where EA's annual revenues are higher than 2018, hence the whole point of this thread.

Better luck next time, bring a more educated argument or get self-owned again.

I did ask you to provide that information in my second reply to you but you chose to ignore it, so I found it myself. Where do you think I got the Net profit figures from? I'm not one to spout figures I made up on the spot.

Seeing as your too lazy or incapable of compiling a Google search here's EA's Annual income for 2018.

By the way in case you're struggling with the numbers, $1.16 Billion profit from $4.3 Billion Revenue (2016 Net profit) is greater than $1.04 Billion net profit from $5.1 Billion revenue. i.e. 26% profit margin is greater than 20% profit margin.

Now wipe those tears and have a cup of Tea.

He is an idiot. He stated he owned their stock. He would keep up with this if he had any real money in the company and would have gotten out fast. He doesn't own any stock and knows very little.

I haven't bought a physical disc in years on PC. However, I still generally buy physical for PS4 and Switch.

Just depends on how much bang you want for you buck. Which on this forum is a narrow minded view of "mah games are pretty" as apposed to the bigger picture (range of games, performance etc)

Next gen consoles will 100% give you more bang for you buck with $500 all in one system compared to upgrading to any high end PC build. Next gen systems are aiming for 4k 60fps and consoles will last an entire generation 5 to 8 years without needing to upgrade or invest in parts. "aiming for 4k 60 FPS" yea, just like the PS3 was aiming for 1080p 120 FPS super computing... stop the bull. They will choose graphics over 4k 60fps as usual.

If you care about the best graphics, you can be sure they're going to be on consoles no matter what PC build you have because PC and multiplat devs aren't going to max out games they development just like this gen. console exclusive devs on the other hand are going to code to the metal and produce the most amazing games you've ever seen with full system capability. But if you care about games in general the PC would be the better choice, more genres, more high quality exclusives overall, best backwards compatibility, more features, mods etc.

Furthermore, PC games are more and more frequent on consoles. With how powerful next gen systems with be and them using X86 architecture games being made specifically for PC, other than low quality basement developed titles, will be virtually non existent. Star Citizen will most likely be seen on consoles shortly after it launches on PC. Some of those "basement" titles are worth more than a 20 hour action TPS... no matter how pretty it looks.

bringing some balance back in here.

Well done.

That original post was like reading a really long Trump tweet. Full of nonsense and lies.

There are 0 stand out games on PC this generation and the best looking games on PC games are console ports so my post is pretty much spot on.

The best games of every generation are Console exclusives or console multiplats.

Sorry if the truth hurts.

In 2018 5 years after PS4 launched on 2013 hardware Sony released God of War and stopped every PC game this generation. The year before Horizon Zero Dawn did the same. Even console exclusive shared between PS4 and Xbox One takes dumps on any PC game.

When next gen systems launch they will carry over this generation's library which has higher quality games than the shovelware steam library PC fans are forced to deal with. I have a gaming PC and the best games are console multiplats and console remasters. Consoles will have better games from the start with high quality AAA exclusives something PC fans can only dream about.

Except these Multiplat games look better on PC. Sorry you don't have a PC to see this.

I travel back to 2009.

this is 2019. lol.

open world RPGs and third person action games ala movie games are far more stale than FPS.

Yea...it seems that last generation became over saturated with FPS.
