Quick update:- Wow talk about quick support response. Within just after an hour I received an email apologising and offering a refund in which I can repurchase at the lower price. Very quick. They mention it has to do with the publishers/devs.
I should've known, the game is published by 2K, a publisher well known for sticking it to Australians with their price fixing/gouging.

The site is legit. Just contact their support and I'm sure they'll make up the difference. Also, are you sure they lowered the price? And...isn't the game out?Planeforger
Just double checked again, and yep the price is lowered. I'm in Australia, thus it isn't released yet.
I have emailed them about an hour ago, but still waiting on a response. I'm not going to overreact too much, since I've emailed them and awaiting a reply.
Good to know they are legit.
Preordered last month The Darkness off them, and now they are advertising the same preorder for $20 less. Even before the game is out. I thought this was a legit site but think I'm mistaken. Have they done this to many others?
Trouble is I don't know if Consumer Fair Trading looks at purchases done through the internet. That's where I need advise.
Is digital distribution the devils playground?
Doesn't surprise me anymore with our Australian Govt. After all, the State govt still hasn't fixed bridges damaged from flooding 12 months ago, but built a new million dollar sport stadium. Oh and whilst the budgets are in the red , require loans to do it all. Now they have called a new state election in a short timeframe of March 2012, good luck with that. Plus they are allowed to use taxpayer dollars to fund the advertising, but rules state the opposition has to fund themselves.
We seriously need some younger people workingpolitical. Maybe the govt really need other insights. When I see Canberra news, it'sa lot of the timesolder, fat, balding men pouncing around speaking.
The game isn't going too far.
Left 4 Dead 2 got censored in Australia, and The Darkness 2 remains okay for Australia. Thus the fact that this game really doesn't go too far, whereas Left 4 Dead 2 steps over the boundary line of violence and gore. ***sarcasm***
I do this especially after Steam Xmas Sales. My backlog is massive, and it takes me longer to select a game now that actually play it.
I so wish there was a random button in Steam which I can click that randomly starts a game from my installed list.
Sweet. Sonic CD. Will avoid Sonic 4 though, heard bad things about it. It's good to see Sega starting to really look out for PC and bring back true classics.
I only see it on Greenman for $74.97.
Okay click the posts direct link and it goes to greenman price of $49, but says not available in my region.
But go to Greenman site normally and click The Darkness 2 and I can buy it for an expensive $74.97.
Obviously Greenman gamingdoesn't want any business from Australia. I just never thought the day would come that Greenman decide that 2012 they will start ripping Australians off.
Yeah, Box/DropBox are online storage, not synced back-ups. ChiliDragon
Cool, thanks. So might give these a try now instead. These will be safe from all this if it happens?
Picked up an external HDD today, but would like a third backup using online methods.
So I'll send the bill to the FBI for my loss. I had numerous files such as my resume stores privately on MegaUpload. I had it just as my main resource to access my files anywhere.
Since my only copy of the resume was there, whom do I send the bill to since I now have to pay to get a new one done.
And my photos of my trip to Europe.I used to backup on external drives but they always failed after time, therefore went the online backup route.
Is there any other reliable online backup places that will be safe from authorities shutting down?
